Dear Community;

According to our current Aimms project deployment practice, we deploy an end-user aimmspack file on Windows/Linux machines. The host Windows/Linux machines have a “normal” (normal means not Aimms-Pro) Aimms installed with an end-user licence. The projects are executed using Aimms.exe/AimmsCmd commands.

However, we have recently developed a webui for a new project, we are now wondering if we must deploy using Aimms-Pro to have the webui working in the production environment? Can we install Aimms-Pro on Linux servers (I understand from the documentation that it is supported only on Windows servers)?

If it is possible to access webui using “normal” Aimms (we prefer linux deployment):

  1. How can we define a static port for webui URL? We want to run aimms with --hidden flag and access the webui using a static URL.

Thank you @Gertjan. This answer my question.

Hello @Amritbir1

You indeed would need AIMMS PRO to deploy AIMMS WebApps. If on-premise is your preferred choice, we offer indeed only Windows. However, we suggest to sign up for AIMMS Cloud (our serviced AIMMS PRO environment) to deploy your Apps. This removes the need to setup your own servers and makes sure software is always up to date and fully scalable.

Please contact your account manager or reach out via info@aimms.com to learn more about AIMMS PRO options.
