I currently face the issue that the variable TotalCost needs to be a free scalar variable. The range of the variable is set to free and I don't have specified the index domain anymore. What can be the reason for this error?

Can you also show the contents of the math program identifier as well as the procedure that you use to solve the math program?
Or did the variable have an index domain before and you removed it maybe? In that case, can you see what happens if you recompile the model with F5?
