Get notified when new releases are made

A customer asked us how to keep up to date with releases in AIMMS. We used to send out emails when a new version was released (many years ago), but the frequency is much higher now and felt it would be unhelpful.If you do have an interest in following releases, I have tested out a site (visualping) that can monitor and notify you when there are changes to a site.To be clear, AIMMS (and me personally) have no affiliation with this site - it just seems useful.https://visualping.io/You can add an html and select which part of the site it should compare. If there are changes in that part - you get an email. Simple as that.Here is an example: Free tier allows you to monitor 5 sites - so it can cover AIMMS, PRO, WebUI and two of your favorite libraries. Vessel Scheduling ExampleEXAMPLE

In this practical example, an efficient plan is developed for delivering large cargoes using oil tankers. The model assumes each ship can carry only one cargo at a time, and once the time horizon begins, all vessels head directly to the loading port. Upon loading, each vessel proceeds directly to the delivery location within its designated time window. Constraints include ensuring each cargo is loaded inside the determined time window, each cargo being transported by only one vessel, and each charter vessels being assigned to only one route at a time. The objective is to minimize costs associated to combinations of cargoes and routes. Click here to download the full project! Given are the distances between the cities.TSP problems are widely studied in the scientific literature because:they are notoriously difficult to solve to optimality (NP-Hard), there is a wide range of applications, and there are various approaches of solving the problem.This example is structured as follows:The page "Network" permits you define your own network.You can use the data manager (icon data manager) to save and load instances. Two cases come with this example.Distances are estimated using the Haversine formula.The page "Heuristic" illustrates three different heuristics to solve a TSP.
