Currently to create a selection widget from a set, you have to use the element parameter of that set. It'd sure be nice to be able to use a string parameter to display instead of the elements themselves.
I wanted to use the _text method, but apparently that's only for Gantt charts.
Basically we'd like the same functionality that exists in WinUI for the "Element Text" tab of the Selection Object Properties. Or something equivalent.

If I understand your question correctly, this functionality is already possible. You can specify ElementText in the attributes of a set, similarly to how you would specify annotations.
