As a Developer (role) I need the ability to switch to the dark theme in the AIMMS Developer (functionality), so I can minimize eye strain then working with the model (goal).

I personally prefer to use dark theme In all applications there it is available, it would be great if such a theme appears in AIMMS Developer.

List of software in which I work with dark themes :
Notepad ++ https://draculatheme.com/notepad-plus-plus/

ArcGIS PRO
FME Workbench
PyCharm

Hi Mstislav,

That is an obvious request, thanks for bringing it to our attention.

We have plans for a completely new model editing IDE so we don’t do that much new development in the current IDE.

We will definitely look to this feature again when working on this new IDE.

Regards, Floor

Hello Mstislav, just to give an update here:

I’ve changed the status to “discussion ongoing”, as any possible implementation will be far in the future.

We are currently in the process of developing a new AIMMS IDE, which will include this feature request. However, since this is a long-term project, we will not implement the feature in the current IDE and will therefore decline the request for now. The new IDE will likely take the form of one or more VS Code plugins, enabling the development of AIMMS applications while leveraging the rich functionality already available in VS Code.
