We are hearing from a growing number of customer and prospects that they:

  • are using Snowflake as their central data repository
  • would like to upload/download data from there to/from their AIMMS applications.

Using our Data Exchange Library app developers could already build that exchange themselves. Still, to save them time we developed an AIMMS library to make that even less work:
https://documentation.aimms.com/snowflake/index.html.

We hope you will find this useful, saving you time to work on other things.

Please share your experiences with us via support@aimms.com.

Hi,

In the documentation it mentions that it reads “apit-init/snowflake.txt” . Where do I find this file?

Hi Lorenzo,

I think the information you are looking for is here: https://documentation.aimms.com/snowflake/library.html#configuring-the-snowflake-library. You can create the .txt-file using any note-app 😊. Let me know if this helps!

Hi Roxanna,

Thanks for your reply! Maybe my question was a little bit vague indeed. I meant more: in which location should I store this file. Where is AIMMS looking for api-init, because I didn’t find any folder like that.

Hi Lorenzo! You can create the folder yourself if it doesn’t exist yet in the root of the AIMMS project folder and then re-upload the app including that folder + file.
