SC Navigator 26.9.1

Date October 1, 2026

  • New Features

    • The Maps on the Results and on the Center of Gravity pages now offer the possibility to show labels for the nodes. Through the Node filter on the side panel you can switch them on or off separately for each node type. By default, the labels are not displayed, because they can be a bit overwhelming depending on the zoom level on your maps.

    • You can now define your own map colors, by name and hex code. To add a new color: go to the Results page, in the map widget action, select Customize Nodes or Customize Arcs. Then in the Color Reference List widget action, select Manage User Colors. Once added, user colors are available for everyone in the same environment. They can be used for node types, flow types and transport modes.

    • On the sheet TN Vehicles, a new attribute, Vehicle Properties, allows a semicolon-separated list of properties (for example vehicle types or certifications) to be assigned to each vehicle. On the TN Customer Product sheet, two new attributes, Required Vehicle Properties and Forbidden Vehicle Properties, let you restrict which vehicles can serve a customer stop: an eligible vehicle must have all Required properties and none of the Forbidden ones.

    • On the sheet Transport Trip Data, a new attribute Last Customer Base Cost allows an additional cost per load to be set for a lane. It is charged once per route, for the lane running from the warehouse the route departs from (From Location) to the last customer it visits (To Location). It comes on top of all other transport costs including that stop’s own cost per stop. It supports carriers that price a route by its final stop, which typically applies when vehicles do not return to the depot (Route Ends at Last Stop on the TN Vehicles sheet). The attribute is used by Transport Navigator only; it can be reviewed and adjusted on the new Trip Data tab of the Transport Navigator Data page, and the resulting cost appears in the Route Summary and in the Transport Navigator KPIs.

    • We added new Warehouse filters to the Center of Gravity page, and introduced a Fixed Locations node filter. The Fixed Locations node filter behaves consistently with warehouse groups node filters. They are shown only when at least one Fixed Location is selected on the CoG Settings page.

    • You can now freeze part of the Transport Navigator solution, so the solver can focus on the remaining part. This can be done in the Select Route table on the main Transport Navigator page, but this is not available for all runs.

  • Improvements

    • On page Results - Transport, and page Data - Transport, the Source of Distance column now names the method that produced the distance for each lane: Transport Trip Data, Retrieved, Wiggle Factor or Straight Line, instead of only Template or Calculated.

    • Previously, on the Customize Node Sizes dialog, you could influence node sizes with a slider. However, that slider was limited. Now you can enter a free value to set the node sizes.

    • We have made some changes such that Initializing GIS Data has improved on subsequent calls.

    • SC Navigator now warns, both as a data issue and on the Geocodes page, when locations with different addresses are geocoded onto the same point, which makes the distance between them zero and hides them from the optimization.

  • Bug Fixes

    • Service range colors on the map now remain unchanged when customer arcs are hidden with the Transport filter or when suppliers are hidden with the Supplier filter. When the service range is active, customers remain visible on the map even when all their products are filtered out with the Product filter.

    • On page Results - Customer, the Drive Time Distribution chart has been updated to exclude customers in periods where they have zero demand.

    • On the Data - Transport page, the spelling of Transportation in the second table header has been corrected.

    • Custom map settings and zoom level values are no longer reapplied after the map is reset to the default view and the user navigates to another page. Custom settings are now shown correctly after results are loaded.

    • When saving the data as Input Data and using an already existing filename for it, SC Navigator first did some potentially time consuming data validation before checking whether the name already existed. That name check is now done immediately, saving the user time.

    • It could happen that after an infeasible solve, the workflow panel on the left side of SC Navigator would disappear.

    • Previously, changing node sizes did not affect nodes that have an icon which name starts with “scn-“.

    • Warehouses no longer appear on the Production sheet and Productions no longer appear on the Warehouse sheet of the Full Solution export.

    • In Transport Navigator, in rare cases, routes that were fixed could be planned with too much lateness.
