How to join a community user groupF.A.Q.

Did you know we have user groups? These can help you find information in line with your interests easily. Check out our Groups page to see what’s there. To join a group and subscribe to group activity, click the “Join group” button at the top of a group page.Note: If you aren’t logged in, you’ll be prompted. Create a new account or log in, and click the “Join” button again.You’ll be added to the group members and get notified of new topics in the group.

How to Create a Job PostF.A.Q.

Members are welcome to post ads for jobs related to AIMMS, OR, and similar skills on our Jobs Board.(You can also advertise your skills if you are looking for a job!) Create a post from the button in the top right corner of any Community page.   If you aren’t logged in, you’ll be prompted to do so. Create a new account or log in. Select “conversation” as the post type. Add a title that describes what you’re hiring for, and use the body to add your job description (or link to it). Don’t forget to specify how you candidates to apply. Select “Jobs board” as the subforum, and add any relevant subject or skills tags.   Click “Create” - that’s all!

How to create a new topicF.A.Q.

Welcome - time to create your first post! You can create a post from the button in the top right corner of any Community page.If you aren’t logged in, you’ll be prompted. Create a new account or log in.Select what type of post you want to create.Create a descriptive title and the body of your post. Details are good!Select the subforum that best fits your topic, and add any relevant subject tags.Click “Create” - that’s it!

Our Community Has A New Ideation SectionNews

We’re happy to announce our new and revamped Ideation space. Like the new Product Updates module, this new section allows you to filter ideas per product area. You’ll also find it easier to search for ideas with handy filters for each status (new, discussion ongoing, in development, implemented, and not implemented).As always, we encourage you to share your feature requests and improvement ideas. Be sure to search before posting an idea in case another customer has posted the same request. Then you can chip in and upvote!You can also subscribe to an idea if you’d like to get notified of any replies or updates.  We hope you enjoy using this new space!

How idea submission works

We invite you to share and vote on ideas to improve and expand functionality of AIMMS products. This helps us to know what users want and need.Before you post your idea…It’s a good idea to search existing ideas in case a similar one is already there. If so, you can vote and add your comments there.When you post a new idea, don’t forget to be your own first vote!How to formulate your ideaPlease provide as much detail as possible to help us understand your need. It may help to put it in the form of user stories:“As a ___ (role) I need ___ (functionality) , so I can ___ (goal) .”Role may mean you (the developer) or an end user in their specific role, depending on the need.Idea statusesWe reserve the right to comment on these feature requests, ask questions about them, and maybe even add them to our backlog - but please understand that we can make no promises about if and when they may be implemented. Interact with other community membersF.A.Q.

Tag other community members You can tag another user to notify them of a post. To tag a user, type the @ symbol, and begin typing their username. As you type, a list of matches appears where you can select the user you want to tag. When you submit your post, they will receive a notification of the tag and a link to the post. Follow community members When you notice a member whose posts are often helpful or interesting, you can follow them to receive notifications of their activity. Click their user name to go to their User profile and click Follow member. Sending private messages You may contact another member with a private message if they have enabled this feature. Click their user name to go to their User profile and click Send message.

Report a post as inappropriateF.A.Q.

If you see an inappropriate post that is against our Community Guidelines, please flag it to notify moderators. Click the overflow icon (…) and select Flag. In the form that appears, you can include a brief message if necessary. Click Report to submit. We'll look into it as soon as possible.

Settings for notification emailsF.A.Q.

Thread and subforum subscriptions When you subscribe to a topic or subforum, you will receive notifications whenever there is new activity. You can unsubscribe by visiting the post or forum again and clicking Unsubscribe. When you are mentioned in a post Other users can tag you in a post to get your attention. If you don’t want to receive notifications when you are tagged, go to your profile settings. When you participate in a thread When you participate in a thread you will receive a notification for the next reply in that topic, but you will not receive notifications of any further replies unless you visit that page again. Every time you visit the page, while logged in, the system resets your participation and you will receive a notification of only the next reply. This prevents you from getting “spammed” about topics you didn’t subscribe to. This setting cannot be changed. If you want to receive notifications for all replies to that thread, click Subscribe (star) at the bottom

Change your passwordF.A.Q.

To change your password while logged in: Click on your avatar image in the top right and click Settings. Go to the Password tab and follow the instructions on the form. Click Save changes. If you don’t know your password, you can click Forgot password? on the login page and use the form to receive an email with instructions to reset your password.

Change your profile avatarF.A.Q.

You can add an image to your profile, known as an avatar. It will appear on your profile page and next to your user name when you post or reply. When logged in, click on your avatar image in the top right and click Settings. Go to the Profile picture field and click Edit. Locate the desired image on your computer and click Open. You can zoom and reposition the part of the image you want to appear in the frame. Then click Apply. Scroll to the bottom of Settings and click Save changes.

Add a signature to your profileF.A.Q.

You can some add information about yourself as a signature to appear the bottom of all your posts or replies. Click on your avatar image in the top right and click Settings. Go to the Forum signature field at the bottom and enter your desired signature. Scroll to the bottom of Settings and click Save changes.

View or edit your user profileF.A.Q.

When logged in to AIMMS Community, click your avatar at the top right of the page, next to Create Topic. Click My profile to view information that is visible to the Community. To edit your information, click Edit profile. In the My profile tab you can edit your avatar, personal information, and signature. Click Settings to edit display and notification information. The Password tab allows you to update your password. Be sure to click Save changes when you are finished.

Quote other community members in postsF.A.Q.

When context is needed, you may want too quote a post from another user in your reply. Click the Quote button at the bottom of the post or reply you want to reference. The quoted post will be auto-filled in a reply field. Add your message and click Reply to post it.
