Developers could really use an AIMMS Spell-Checker.

It’s annoying when someone submits a Pull Request and you only find small spelling mistakes in the comments thorughtout the code, and you then have to request these small changes and review them again after. Having an automatic spell-checker, at leats for the code (no identifer names) would be great!

Is there anything on the roadmap?

Thanks, Diego! If I understand, you are looking for a something like a ‘linter’ or syntax error-finder...

@Richard Stegeman this sounds like it could be covered by the ‘auto syntax correction’ you were working on, can you give an update?

Update: In the next generation IDE we hope it will be possible, but at the current state it is not possible. We’ll keep this idea open for discussion, however be aware it won’t be possible in the immediate future.

NewDiscussion ongoing

We are currently in the process of developing a new AIMMS IDE, which will include this feature request. However, since this is a long-term project, we will not implement the feature in the current IDE and will therefore decline the request for now. The new IDE will likely take the form of one or more VS Code plugins, enabling the development of AIMMS applications while leveraging the rich functionality already available in VS Code.
