Hi!The model aims to optimize the energy flow in my superstructure and minimize the cost. Most of the data in the listing file show that the status is superbasic and some of them are superbasic, at bound. Here is the message showing on top of the listing file.CONOPT 4.1 constructed the following irreducible infeasibility set (IIS).The IIS consists of 1 constraint and 1 variable.HWH(6) .. [ 9 | 273 | IIS ]    + 1 * Techflow(HW,6) - 0.800 * NGflow(HWH,6) = 0 ; (lhs=-25630, scale=3600000) ****    name              lower   level   upper   scale    Techflow(HW,6)     -inf  -25630     inf 3600000    NGflow(HWH,6)         0       0     inf 3600000  <--- pivot columnThe constraint is stated like this:HWH(t):Techflow('HW',t)=EfficiencyNG('HWH')*NGflow('HWH',t)Attached is the zipped file for my model. I would appreciate if anyone could help me to solve this.

We currently work on using the AIMMS Unit Test Library for all our tests instead of manually checking the success of a test run with the help of binary parameters. In this context, we thought of emptying all parameters before the run of each unit test to ensure that the run sequence of tests does not impact the outcome. We noticed that emptying all identifiers also leads to emptying parameters with initial data. Is there a way to reset all parameters to the state before we ran the unit tests or at least to their initial data? Kind regardsSandra

Hello AIMMS community!I currently working with aimms on my thesis and for my model i need the MainExecution read a huge amount of sets and parameters. For that I’m using Excel-Sheets. I also going to need subsets and here is my, i think, for you, very simple question:How can I exclude Excel cells from being readed? For example one of my sets is readed asSpreadsheet::RetrieveSet ( WorkbookName, facilities, "A4:A75");If now a subset of facilities is not contigious in this column A4:A75 but instead maybe the cells A10 to A15 and A20 to A30 and A50. How would i retrieve this subset? I tried this (see below) and many other variants and nothing worked. Hope you can help me. Spreadsheet::RetrieveSet ( WorkbookName, facilities, "A10:A15+A20:A30+A50");

Hello,    I have a set of 30 Customers, {1,2,...30}. I want to create subsets of these customers. Specifically, I want to get subsets with cardinality 1,2 and 3. These sets combined should then form the set ‘Routes’, such that the set ‘Routes’  looks as follows: {1}, {2}, … , {30}, {1,2}, {1,3},… { 29,30}, {1,2,3} , {1,2,4} ….. So the idea is to obtain routes containing 1,2 or 3 customers.   I would really appreciate some hints about implementing this in AIMMS.  Thank you in advance.

Doğrusal programa ile ilgili bu 2 soruyu AIMMS programında rica etsem çözermisiniz. Çözümümden emin olmak istiyorum.

How should I set a default layout for pivot tables in developer mode. I want this layout to be used when the application is opened by users in WebUI. Thanks

Hi,Many of our projects include export functionality to Excel; which is a good way to allow the end-user to continue to work on the data and/or use it as a report out. Proper formatting of the excel file is in these cases high on the priority list of the users. One can think of: setting fonts, right number of decimals, putting data in a pivot (correctly organized). Basically, saving the user the manual work to redo these formatting actions after each export to excel. In the win-ui we applied the following trick to get the excel file formatted as desired:Create an excel macro to perform all the required actions Include an excel file with the macro in the aimms project When exporting, use a copy of that excel file, put the data in and run the macro via the aimms function Spreadsheet::RunMacroSince we are developing web-ui apps, which are cloud deployed, this trick is not available any more. The model runs in the cloud without the ability to running an excel macro. Because the AIMMS Excel

Hi All,I would like to write the following equation in my objective variable in AIMMS. I cannot manage to insert a correct notation for the max argument that works. I want to pick the v with the highest value for Zkpv, and minimize this value. My current objective (without the max argument) variable looks like this at the moment.Could somebody please help me? Kind Regards

Hi AIMMS community,I am having problems to activate my academic license. This error reported by AIMMS:Logging on to AIMMS License Server failed: No logon response from serverAny ideas on how to solve it?

Dear All,I want to model a conditional constraint of:where QUR, QP, QT, and Gpv are variables, and load and Qmin are parameters. t is time index. How to implement this function in AIMMS?Thank You.

I install the new version and fill in the license URL in Manage Launcher .But when i click the launch button as the picture shown ,there is no reaction to oppen the operation interface

When trying to open the aimms file I get the Error message: Main project is not an existing folder. It is from a Zipfile, normal Folder works. Indentical files. What is the error here?

Hey everybody,I have a small question. Is it possible to define a parameter in relation to a Variable.I want to use this parameter in a Constraint. For example If the optimization variable is 5 - the parameter has to take the value 1.8.If the variabel is 2, the parameter has to have the value 1.3.I guess most likely it is possible to use a if- or switch-Function, but I am not sure…Can I load a table with these parameters in Aimms, so that he can give the parameter the right value, or are their any other ways to do this? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi, I’ve been trying to run some Monte Carlo simulations, but apparently if the number of runs is more than 500, the Histogram cannot be made. AIMMS returns some arithmetic error that I don’t understand. How can we increase the number of data that Histogram can make? Thanks,Zulfan

Hi, I was trying to play around with Monte Carlo simulation in AIMMS. I can save the results from MP.Objective for every run. But, how can I save the solution for every run? I tried to use something like below for every run:Variable_Result(run, param1, param2) := Variable(param1,param2);It’s in the procedure “RunMonteCarlo” in the attached file. But, it doesn’t work. Any idea? Thanks,Zulfan

Hello! I want to present production lines in my gantt chart. Production is separated to different levels: Is it possible the show theese levels in the same line bellow each other? Or I need to create another line for each? Thanks for the help!

Hello,  I want to save the results of various variables into an Excel Workbook. All the results I want to save are on the “Multiple Iteration Dashboard ” Page I created. I read about the function PageCopyTableToExcel  that would allow me to save those results (https://documentation.aimms.com/functionreference/user-interface-related-functions/page-functions/pagecopytabletoexcel.html#pagecopytabletoexcel). You can find my projects attached to this question. To do so, I created a Procedure named “ExportExcel” where you can find the following code :  if not axll::WorkBookIsOpen(WorkbookFilename : "Book1.xlsx" ) then          axll::OpenWorkBook(WorkbookFilename : "Book1.xlsx" );endif; PageCopyTableToExcel(pageName: "Multiple Iteration Dashboard",        tag: "FuelEfficiency",        includeHeaders: 1,        selectionOnly: 0,        ExcelWorkbook: "Book1.xlsx",        Range: "A1:Z150"); I went into the Fuel Efficiency Table Properties to correctly tag it as “FuelEfficiency”.However, I got t

Hello everyone,in contrast to other programming languages, the source code of an AIMMS model usually is in a single file. Our code is hosted at a GitLab instance. Our team notices, that GitLab struggles with the large .ams-file, especially in merge requests. Sometimes the diff is too large to be shown, posting comments (as a reviewer as part of a code review) fails, or loading already posted comments fails. The size of our .ams-file is usually between 1 MB and 5 MB.Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Does anyone know a good alternative to conduct code reviews, which does not involve hosting the code on a different platform?I’m aware that we could use libraries to divide the code in smaller chunks, however, I feel like this is not as easy as in other programming languages and not the way it’s “supposed to be” in AIMMS.Best regardsBenedikt

Hey Guys,I have a small problem by modeling my MILP.I created a Matrix do define some Binary Variables. Now I want to create a constraint, which contains a multiplication between the Matrix of the Variables an a Matrix with some parameters. The result should be a scalar value comparable to the sumproduct-function in Excel. I want to do a multiplication between the matrices an the result should be a scalar?Hopefully there is a simple function in Aimms to solve my problem.I am thankful for every help!Best regardsSimon

Hello, I want to solve an optimization problem with a minimization of costs. I would like to create a loop that would help me solving the same model but changing only one parameter of my objective function at each iteration.  The logic is the following :  While (Parameter <= Bound ):       Solve Objective_Function(Parameter);       Parameter = Parameter + 1; where “Parameter” is the parameter I want to change at each iteration of the loop. where “Bound” is simply a bound to stop my while-loop. where Objective_function is simply the objective function of my problem and depends on the parameter that should change at each iteration.  Could you help me?  Thank you.

Hello, everyone！Now I have a problem about how to set ranges for specific values of a variable. I have a variable “Cmatrix(t,x,conv) ” and “t,x,conv” are some sets.  I need that Cmatrix(t,x,conv) ∈ [-1,1] only when conv ≠ 'Heat_pump' . And Cmatrix(t,x,conv) >1 only when conv = 'Heat_pump'. How do I write this in the red box? When I set a constraint to bound the “Cmatrix(t,x,conv) ”, there will be errors as “The solver CONOPT 4.1 cannot handle the ranged constraint Cmatrix_except_HP(1,Elec,CHP_engine) in mathematical program "Cost_minimization"; please define the middle term as a variable and add bounds.” Can some kind person save me? Thank you so so so much! Wish you happy every day.

Hiya! I’m completely new to AIMMS so apologies if this is a really fundamental thing to ask. I’ve been working on a model that I would like to call from within Python using AimmsCmd - for now while I’m just trying to get it to work, my code in Python linking to AIMMS is pretty much identical to the script in the guide to running batch commands:aimmsPath = "C:\\Users\\44750\\AppData\\Local\\AIMMS\\IFA\\Aimms\\4.77.4.5-x64-VS2017\\Bin\\AimmsCmd.exe"command = aimmsPath + " solver.aimms < cmds.txt > log.txt"solve = subprocess.call(command, shell=True)log = open("log.txt","r")print(log.read())log.close()When I execute it however, I get this error:Error: Unable to open AIMMS with "--as-server --ignore-dialogs --hidden  "solver.aimms"": Starting up Aimms failed. Program initialization error.Thinking it was probably my model or my code that was flagging up the error, I downloaded the StandAlone example from that same guide and copypasted the Python script - but it returned the exact same

I was wondering if there is any way to generate a pool of multiple optimal solutions for a MIP solved using CPLEX?I appreciate any response in advance

Hi, I have been following the Employee Training example. However, I cannot run the code (attached). It is said that the solution does not exist. I don’t know what causes it.Furthermore, how do I check and know if the equations are not feasible ya? I’ve been looking into this Math Inspector, but somehow it’s difficult to understand for me. Thanks,

Hi,I have the following warning : Usage of directly nested for statements is unnecessary and inefficient. How am I supposed to write this code to avoid the warning ? for gdm::iNode do    for (gdm::iTime in gdm::calHorizon) do        p1(gdm::iNode):=p2(gdm::iNode,gdm::iTime)*p3(gdm::iNode) ;     endfor;endfor; Thank you
