Subtour elimination in TSP

Hi dear community, I’m trying to add this subtour elimination constraint into my AIMMS project.  sum( (k,l) | k<>l and k in SubsetofLocations and l in SubsetofLocations, y(b,k,l)) <= |SubsetofLocations| - 1where y(b,k,l) = 1 indicating the picker will go from location k to location l while picking items in batch b. My questions are:How can I generate all of the subsets that are required to be used here? I checked the TSP example on AIMMS website and it seems like these subsets are generated automatically? If it’s not, how should I set it up? How can I get the number of locations in a subset(the |SubsetofLocations|) when it is generated everytime?  I want to add this as a lazy constraint with the callback function. But I’ve been quite lost about how to set it up. I know how to add it in the MainExecution (I just followed the TSP example) but I’m not quite sure about what else will I need. Should I just ignore the entire “Declaration Network” part(since I don’t need to show the

R-Link data mapping error

Hi Community, I am implementing a feature, which needs connection to R. I have the following code, in which I try to give data to R and run a script. dl::DataTables += {'TimeSeries'};empty DataMap;DataMap(dl::dt, dl::idn, dl::cn, dl::dn) += data {    (TimeSeries, 'lg::S_ActivePeriods', 1, 1) : "period",    (TimeSeries, 'lg::P_TimeSeries', 2, 0) : "demand"};MapName := "TimeSeriesMap";dl::RemoveDataSourceMapping(MapName);dl::AddDataSourceMapping( MapName, DataMap,           dl::DependEmpty, dl::TableAttributesEmpty, dl::ColAttributeEmpty );dl::ExecScript("source('script.r')",MapName,XA); When dl::AddDataSourceMapping runs, I get the following error message: “Unable to obtain identifier handle for column [period, lg::S_ActivePeriods] in table [TimeSeriesMap, TimeSeries]. How to Connect to Access database file

AIMMS has the possibility to retrieve/store data from/into any ODBC or OLEDB datasource. You could provide a UDL file (in case of OLEDB) or a System/User/File DSN (in case of ODBC). This article shows how to generate a connection string to connect to an Access database via the ODBC layer. (However, you can use a similar approach to connect to any database, also via the OLEDB layer.)

Multi-Objective using CPLEX 12.8

Hi,I am working on 2 multi-objective problem with two objective functions (one is to maximize the lecturers’ preference and the other is to maximize students’ preference). I have many constraints and only one decision variable (for the first problem) while many decision variables for the second problem.The tutorial that AIMMS provided is for CPLEX 12.9. Can it still be used for CPLEX 12.8? If not, is there any tutorial that can be used for CPLEX 12.8?Thank you in advance.

MIP Relative Optimality Tolerance

Hi, In the Options Tree, I have been changing the MIP Relative Optimality Tolerance to 0.5%, 1.0%, 5.0% and 10.0% to analyse the performance of the solution, gap and solving time. I wish to change the gap to 0.5%, 1.0%, 5.0% and 10.0% to analyse whether the solving time can be reduce by changing the gap. However, the CPLEX always stop at either 0.04%, 0.12% or 0.00% of gap. Is there any way to stop the CPLEX at 10% of gap?

LP file

Hi all! Just a quick question that is there any way to export a model in AIMMS to an LP file? I know you can do this in CPLEX, and since AIMMS is employing CPLEX, I’m thinking maybe it is also possible to do it in AIMMS. If this is true, could anyone also tell me how to do that? Thanks!

How to set scopes of multiple indices from one set in one constraint?

Hi dear all, I have one of my constraints in AIMMS as this:sum[k1|k1<>l,y(k1,l)] = sum[k2|k2<>l, y(l,k2)], in which k1, k2, l are all from same set and y(k,l) as binary.For the right hand side of this constraints, I also want to add k2<>k1, but AIMMS gives error as “The scope of index "k1" has not been specified.”  I tried to run the model without k2<>k1 but the solution gives y(k1,l)=y(l,k1)=1, which is not what I want here. So is there any way to add this k2<>k1 in this constraint?

Transportation-Distribution problem of paints - Constraint Set

Hey, I have this Transportation-Distribution problem of paints and it says that in the 10th day the stock of paint of each color and each type has to be 1000L. I created a constraint: FinalStockConstraint Index domain: (d,c,t) 'd - day; c - color; t - type' Definition: sum[ds,DistributionSiteStock(ds,d,c,t)] + sum [p,ProductionSiteStock(p,d,c,t)] = 1000 Which means the sum of every paint (color and type) of all distribution sites + sum of every paint (color and type) of all productions sites has to 1000. But I just want this to apply to the 10th day. How should I do it only with linear maths? You can store both in productions sites and distribution sites. ds - distribution sites; p - production sites

Dear, I want to do a cycle for. I have two boundary values and I want to consider values between these boundaries. Then for these considered values I want to solve the Min_Total_Costs and have the values of Total Costs for the considered values. How can I write this cycle for? How can define set, ect? For now I wrote this code for e| (epsilon_e(e))>epsilonl and (epsilon_e(e)) CO2_ec:=epsilon_e(e); solve Min_Total_Costs; Total_Costs_e(e):=Total_Costs; endfor; with e the index of a set ep and epsilon_e(e) an integer variable. But it seems that it is not working. Can you help me? Thanks.

Dear all, I want to create a cycle for-do and I want to have the values of the results for each considered point. How can I write this in aimms? Dear @deannezhang , I solved it. I have this warming: Warning: Encountered a lag/lead operator on a subset of Integers, which may not be your intend. Surround the left operand with Val() to turn it into a integer minus/plus. See option 'warning_lag_lead_on_subset_of_integers'. How can I solve it? Best GL

Error handling: categories

Hi Community, I have been looking into the AIMMS error handling feature. During this, the function errh::Category got my attention. This function has an element parameter with range errh::AllPendingErrors as input, and it returns the error category in the range of the predefined set errh::AllErrorCategories. The set errh::AllErrorCategories contains these possible categories: Engine, Internal, Authorization, Licensing, Memory, Limit, Compiler, Syntax, Semantics, Legacy, Execution, Math, InvalidArgument, Unit, IO, External, Generation, MathematicalProgramming, NonlinearEvaluation, Solver, GUI and User. Some examples of how AIMMS classifies errors using the categories are these: When assigning a value of 2 to an identifier with a Binary range, the category is Semantics Doing a division by zero resulted in a Math error What I want is to use these categories in order to control the errors that AIMMS displays by default and to show a user-friendly message to the end-user. AIMMS developer and HiDPI displays

Hi, AIMMS developer does not scale properly with high resolution displays that are becoming the norm at laptops, and as a result, it either shows everything blurry, or the UI is too small to read (depending on the scaling option of Windows). While the editor font size can be changed to make development possible, the size of the AIMMS UI elements does not change. Until AIMMS is revamped and starts scaling properly, would it be possible to allow us to at least change the font size of the windows that show Model Explorer, Pages, Templates etc ? In a 4K display currently the model explorer is not legible.

Multi-depot VRP

Hello Team, I am working on the multidepot-VRP problem an extension of your practical example capacitated VRP. I want to make a model in which vehicles will depart from their depots to serve different customers and turn back to the same depot where it started from. Not enough memory in awf.data.aimms.session - what's that about?

I can't seem to find any documentation on the error code:awf.data.aimms.session:Not enough memory. It only shows up in WebUI, and I know (think) AWF is "AIMMS Widget Factory." I don't have any custom widgets in my project, so I'm not sure why I'm getting this error. Can someone point me in the direction of some documentation on this so I can investigate? Thanks! ~Bon

Linearizing step function

hi all, need help for linearizing step function. say "y" is depending on "x" such that, y= ax if x is between 1 and 2 y= bx if x is between 3 and 4 y= cx if x is between 5 and 6 a, b and c are parameters/constant which will have values 8 or 9. "y" is not final objective function and a, b and c must choose value either 8 or 9. solution requested for maximizing/minimizing "y". thanks.
