Solved

Sometimes when I use WidgetActions on a table to add new elements or remove the selected element (based on storing the focus of an index in that table to an element parameter and having a procedure in the widgetactions list of that table that removes the currently selected element from that set) When doing this, especially when deleting elements, I see the extra button in the table:  If I move the focus away from this table, it automatically updates with the following message: Is there a way that I can force the table to update to reflect the data change right away from my delete procedure? I tried using something like webui::refreshallwidgets, but that just resulted in a temporary busy state and after that was done, nothing changed.

Very often I want to give an explicit confirmation dialog (e.g. when deleting items). I can implement that with creating my own dialog page in the webui, but these are typically quite large for the intended purpose (custom size with 1 row, 1 col). When you try to delete a page in the webui in aimms itself, it gives also a confirmation dialog page: I was wondering, is there an easy way that I can access a similar type of simple dialog message from within my own applications?

Hope anybody has a quick solution for something I have not been able to solve yet…. My goal is to have a scalar widget that uses (almost) all of the available width for the textbox. So what I have is a string parameter and I show it in a scalar widget for which I enabled compact mode and it shows it like this: As you can see, there is the … to indicate the full string parameter is not shown. I do not want to show the label spMyStringParameter. Even if I delete that label in the developer console of the browser, the actual input box still does not use the full width. Is it somehow possible with adding some CSS to have the input box use the full width of the widget (as a single line, I do not want a multiline textbox)

Hi,I basically need the corner coordinates of the visible map in the Map Widget. Please see the red dots below:  These coordinates will be needed when an action is triggered (e.g., a button is pressed), so they don’t need to be tracked continuously.Thanks.

As a test for something, I am trying to see if I can implement column generation (true to my nature / background 😉 ) in AIMMS. The pricing problem I am looking at is some sort of a knapsack problem with some extra constraints.Of course this can easily be modeled as an ILP that I solve, but the overhead for this seems to be pretty large. Another problem is that I potentially need to solve quite some pricing problems in every iteration of the column generation process. The pricing problem lends itself perfectly to be implemented in some basic python, so I looked at the aimms python bridge and that also works. However, I now wanted to look at the threading-free implementation in mostly python 3.14 that would allow me to do actual multi-threading within the same process in python. Since each individual pricing problem that needs to be solved during one iteration is independent , it could be solved in a separate thread. This would allow me to scale this perfectly to the number of cores ava

Hi, recently when I open my AIMMS file, there are few prompts popping up. I will insert the screenshots of those prompts sequentially, please help me figure out the issue. But after I click OK, and run, AIMMS still solves the model for me. Please assist me on this. Thank you.

Hello, I completed he “User Interface with AIMMS I” months ago, and i noticed the User Interface with AIMMS II is about to come.Is there a deadline for when it will come?I am looking forward to it!

When using the AIMMS Excel library (AXLL), is it possible to determine whether a cell is a formula or not? There is an explicit WriteFormula function in the library, but I don’t see anything that gives me information about whether a cell is an entered value or whether it is a formula. I am currently reading in an excel file and need to handle these two situations differently: majority of cells in a range are defined by a formula, but some are manually overruled (i.e. just an entered value) and I need to know which ones are overruled and which ones not.

I know that you can refer to the value of any identifier inside of a case if you have an index/element parameter for that case.An example of this is used in the FlowShop problem for comparing cases: I know this feature has existed for quite some time already. However, I am trying to access the value of an identifier inside of a case, but the identifier is part of a module (so it has a prefix). In the above example, suppose that I have the p_GCJobStart inside of a module with the prefix custom_prefix, in theory this should then be: However, this does not work. Is there any way that I can use this construct to get the value of the identifier inside the case without explicitly copying it?

Hey, I'm new to AIMMS and did a definition of a constraint and it says “The symbol ")” is not expected.” but I don't see what’s wrong with it. Maybe you can help me.Bestellmenge(t)=Zielniveau(t)-(if ord(t)=1 then Anfangslagerbestand else Lagerbestand(t-1))

Are all solvers supported on the AIMMS PRO on-prem platform supported on AIMMS Cloud? If not, what are the current list of solvers supported?

In the Message window I do get messages like “Scanning accepted xxxx nodes from yyyyyy” where xxxx is a number and yyyyyy is a section. How can I switch off these messages?

Hello all, I would like to know if there is any possibility in AIMMS to limit/penalize via constraints/costs the amount of changeovers done by a machine per type of product and even take into account the capacity lost linked to these. Example:Production Line A has the capability to produce products X, Y and Z Changing the production to another product has a big impact on capacity linked changeover time (several days) and should be avoided as much as possible  In a month, there is a maximum of 1 changeoverHow could I use AIMMS to model these constraints? Can the changeover impact on capacity be modelled (amount of days lost)? Can I set a penalty/cost in order to avoid changeovers as much as possible? Can I set a max of changeovers for a specific period? Many thanks in advance for your comments!Carlos

Starting with Aimms-24.1.8.2-x64-VS2022.exe, the installation no longer seems to include the libaimms3.lib import library, while earlier versions did.I could not find any release notes, documentation, or blog posts explaining this change.Could you clarify:Whether the removal of libaimms3.lib from the installer is intentionalWhat the recommended approach is for linking against the AIMMS API in 24.x and later (e.g., dynamic loading, generating the import library, or obtaining it separately)Any guidance or references to official documentation would be appreciated.

Dear Community,I’m using the following dex mapping :<AimmsParquetMapping>    <RowMapping name="xxx">    <ColumnMapping name="A" binds-to="iA" binds-existing="1" skip-non-existing="0"/>    <ColumnMapping name="B" binds-to="iB"/>     <ColumnMapping name="C" maps-to="plan(iA,iB)"/>    </RowMapping></AimmsParquetMapping>Suppose now I have a row in the input file that has a NULL for the iA value. I would expect an error when reading the file, since NULL is not in the set, but the line just got skipped. Is there something wrong here or is there another way to detect empty key values?Kind regards,MarcUsing DEX version: 25.6.1.1

Dear all, thank you very much for allowing me to be a member of this community. I am very impressed by the tool and find it very interesting.I am studying logistics. At the moment, I am writing my bachelor’s thesis about optimizing the supply chain from refineries to tank terminals using rail and inland waterways. On your website, I saw that oil companies are already using the SC Navigator tool. I have completed the online training on the fundamentals, which was very well structured and clearly explained. However, I am still wondering how I can apply this knowledge in practice. Are there any example courses or case studies for SC Navigator that show how to optimize the supply chain for oil products, for example from a refinery to tank terminals? In this context, several factors are important, such as: Are freight costs (€/ton) specified in the Cost Per UOM column? Is it possible to model a supply chain where suppliers are defined as supply nodes and warehouses or storage terminals are de

Each time a user runs an AIMMS app, a unique process ID is generated. I need to include this ID when exporting a data file containing multiple parameters, so that users can link each exported file to its corresponding run.Could you advise on how to programmatically access this ID within AIMMS? Additionally, is it possible to test this functionality in our local development environment, or is it only supported when connected to the AIMMS PRO environment? There is a similar topic: Reading the Jobs screen data from the PRO server into an AIMMS project. | AIMMS Community  However, I don’t quite understand how it works, as my goal is to retrieve the unique ID for each run, not just a list of jobs. If a user runs the app several times in quick succession, how can we differentiate these runs? Thanks for the help.

Hi SC Navigator Q&A community, I have enrolled to SC Navigator Network Design course and it requires to login to SC Navigator to follow along and complete the tests. However, I don’t have license to SC Navigator and the course has not provided with temporarily access to app. Any advice how it should be done without the license or how to get a temporarily access to complete the course? Thanks, Iryna

Multiple modules in one projectHi, may i know how to tackle this problem? When working with multiple AIMMS modules in one project, is it possible to organize them within a single AIMMS file by creating separate folders for each project and its corresponding data? I have tried this approach (as shown in the screenshots), but when I run them individually, I am unable to obtain the expected results. Can you help me check if I'm doing this correctly?

Hi, Hope to get some help for a few questions of WebUI from experts here. While we are working on WebUI figures, there are marker on the line (e.g. the green box on the line).  Is there any way to remove these markers, so only with pure line displayed on the figure?     Is there any way to set up the y-axis value range, so that it will adjust automatically based on the data it loaded?  For example, if the data on the figure range from 0 to 10, then y-axis adjusted to show 0, 5, and 10.   When data range from 0 to 100, then y-axis adjusted to show 0, 50, 100, ..?   Thank you in advance for any advices.

Hi all,I have implemented a custom widget to create piecharts with a different formatting than the standard aimms widget. This new widget is based on v7 of D3.The workflow is the same as referenced here: https://documentation.aimms.com/webui/dev-tut-4.htmlI included some html script that loads D3 v7 and it should load D3 v3 (=standard in aimms) straight after the charts are generated. What happens now is the following:Opening page with piecharts: renders perfectly Opening a page with charts depending on v3: does not load Reloading the webpage: loads the v3 charts againThere is something wrong here with versioning,  but I am not sure why. Documents:Log1: Console log of step 1 Log2: Step 2; opening a page with a gantt chart Log3: step3; refreshing the whole page Code that generates the piecharts Factory that initialises the different custom widgetsI would love to know if anyone has similar experiences and how they resolved it.Thanks in advance!

Hi,I want to be able to write some specific messages into AIMMS Pro Session Log file from inside AIMMS.How can I do that?Best,Gorkem

Frequently we run into the limitations of resizing widget. Here is one concrete example which could be solved if we can hide the table header.   In our application we have a table with a 1-dimensional parameter with 4 items. With a table widget of row height 1, we don't see the last item unless we scroll. With a table widget of row height 2, we have a lot of redundant white space we want to use for something else. All items would be visible in the smaller widget, if we could hide /collapse the header. Is there is a way we can remove the column headers via CSS?   As a side note, I believe grid we are limited to when placing widgets is too coarse.

Are there any list of all methods exposed by aimmspy package. From the description available on AIMMS website, i can only see few exposed methods: get_model, data, assign, update.

Hi,Here is the set that I have and is a subset of AllVariables with the index i_DistWeightVar. Note that the variables in this set have exactly the same indices and in the same order, (i.e., i_period, i_Terminal, i_Source, i_Product, i_Fleet, i_Zone, i_Customer).Here is the parameter that I create that only differs with his first index than the variables in the set above.I am hoping to be able to make assignments by using a function like StringToVariable given below:Anything you can give me to use on the RHS of this assignment?Best,Gorkem
