Solved

I was fixing to put some page actions on my app and holy cow! There's no more little rocketship! Where did it move to? Thanks!

So I have seen (and used) things like .tag-ganttchart as well as .ganttchart, but what's the difference? Also sometimes .aimms-widget works and sometimes I need to use .theme-aimms. What's up with these? The only one I seem to understand is the .annotation-whatever_I_name_it class. But then I'm unsure if it needs to be code:.aimms-widget .tag-widgetname .annotation-whatever_I_name_it { fill: #FF0099} or code:.theme-aimms .widgetname .annotation-whatever_I_name_it { fill: #FF0099} or merely code:.annotation-whatever_I_name_it { fill: #FF0099} Everything works fine, but I feel like my CSS is just a scrambled mess with all these different bits. I don't want to be THAT developer. Please help. Thanks! ~Bon

Hi, There are some changes I did on the setting before I run my MIP project in AIMMS. I wish to know what they mean and how they work. Can anyone explain it to me? 1. I change the ‘aggregrator’ to 0. 2. I change the ‘global thread limit’ to 1. Thank you in advance.

Hi, How to control/change the gap according to what we want? For example, I want to set the gap for 0.5% instead of 0.0%. Where should I insert the value? And how should I write the value in the AIMMS? Is it 5% or 0.5 or 0.05. Best regards, Zahidah Zaulir

My WebUI app is looking mighty spiffy. However, whenever AIMMS takes an extra second or two, I see this blue busy spinner. Alas, that is not in my color scheme. How can I change either the color of the spinner or the .gif itself so that the spinner matches my look and feel? Thanks!

I'm liking the group widget in WebUI, but I'd sure like to put more than a few buttons across it. I want to have a row of buttons all the way across the top of the page, and the only way I can get the buttons to not be 2 columns wide each is to use a group. But the group cuts off any buttons that exceed about 4 columns wide! How can I get either more buttons in a group all in a row or smaller buttons that I can place individually? Thanks!

The only resource I can find that explains how to do a form is this post from March of 2016. It seems the newest WebUI doesn't quite work this way. Is there a link to the actual way the forms work? And can you link that in that blog post so that others can more easily get to it? Thanks!

Over here y'all explained how to change the css on dialog page buttons. But that doesn't trickle down to my confirmation/warning buttons. How can I change those? Thanks!

Hi, Is it possible to stop a cplex milp solver, save to disk and resume later? How to do that? Thanks! EDIT: Does this work... Start cplex milp solver and wait for incumbent solution Save a case file with an incumbent solution to a case file. Restart AIMMS, open model and load case file. Set Advanced start -> Use advanced basis. Start cplex milp solver again. Is there another method? Is this similar to just letting the solver continue? Is it possible to save and load the tree? Is that required? Thanks.

Hi, Is it possible for a callback procedure to save the newest incumbent solution to a case file. Is an example available? Edit: I already installed a callback procedure (SetCallbackNewIncumbent). How can I access the new incumbent solution from that procedure? And do I need to send the new incumbent solution to the model first, after which I can send it to a case file, or can I send it to a case file directly? Thanks! Best, WM

We have a stock that can be negative as well as positive. If it is positive then there are inventory costs and if it is negative then there are backordering costs. We wanted to model this in aimms with different methods. On the one hand we got the error that it was not linear, If we wanted to only have the stock if it is positive and otherwise return the value 0. If we tried to use other methods, such as a binary value that would return the value 0 if the stock was smaller than 0 and 1 if the stock was bigger than 0 we got the following error "The mathematical program "CostMinimization" is not linear, look for bracketed numbers in the constraint listing, for example in the constraint Inventory_definition(4,12)." How can we best model this situation, so that it is still a linear model?

The laptop of a colleague who was sharing the license with me has crashed. Now I want to activate the license in my laptop. I know there is a option for emergency activation but I can not find it somehow. Any suggestions?

Dear all, I have a constraint in AIMMS which is as follows: lambda1(q)*0+lambda2(q)*mu1+lambda3(q)*mu2+lambda4(q)= 1/T(q)*sum[k,sum[l,i(k,l,q)*min(travelTimes(k,l),tau)]]|k in LocationOnRouteQ(q) and l in LocationOnRouteQAfterK(k,q) The problem is in this part: k in LocationOnRouteQ(q) and l in LocationOnRouteQAfterK(k,q) Because I get an error that the scope of index k has not been specified. However, when I put the indices k and l in the index domain I get the error that the scope already has been specified. I want to let the k come out of the set LocationOnRouteQ(q) and l out of subset LocationOnRouteQAfterK(k,q) and I have tried many things, but none worked out. LocationOnRouteQ(q) and LocationOnRouteQAfterK(k,q) are both subsets of the set Locations and I got k and l as indices in the set Location. I hope someone can help me. Kind regards, Aimée

Dear Staff, I would like your tips for an if-then constraint. In particular, I have the following variables: R, binary variable P, continuous variable Y, continuous variable I have the following parameters: A B The constraints I would like to write are the following: 1) if R=1 then P = A*Y 2) if R=0 then P = B*Y I would like to know if it is possible to have a linear formulation without using indicator constraints. Thank you,

Hi! We were able to execute the model already but we're having warnings that the result for this column is similar with the other column. Take for example the constraints 22 and 26? How do we code the "summation"? Sorry I'm just a beginner and I have no one to teach me and I only have a month to study everything because the deadline is just for 2 months. Our model in AIMMS can be downloaded here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1pUgymOpS0-oJLxc_IU6tjt7YEiKkHqmW

When solving a stochastic program, the results can be accessed using .Stochastic. However, I cannot find this data in the WebUI when trying to make, for example, a table showing the objective value of the stochastic program for each scenario. My question then, is this: how do I show the values of both Decision Variables and the Objective Function for each scenario, resulting from solving a Stochastic Program?

Hi, I have this code that prints the variables to a text file. code:for IndexVariables do put(IndexVariables); put // ;endfor; This prints only the first 12 characters of each variable. Why is that? Thanks, WM

Hello everyone, Does AIMMS has a feature that allows me to see the inedex, parameters, variables, obj function and the constrains? I basically want to view the model in a simple way. Thanks!

I've just about got a handle on the css "rules" for the widgets, but the buttons for the new dialog pages don't follow those rules, it seems. I've tried a gazillon permutations of .dialog-open .dialog-page-container .ui-dialog-buttonpane .ui-dialog-buttonset button:last-child button .ui-button .action-cancel .ui-widget .ui-state-default .ui-corner-all .ui-button-text-only How can I change the button color, text color, etc? At this point the only thing that changes anything is code:.theme-mytheme.dialog-open .ui-button-text and that only changes the background around the text itself, not the button background. Thanks!

Hi there, I am trying to implement some form of heuristic for the TSP where I'm decreasing the size of the model by restricting the declaration of variables X(i,j) to those combination (i,j) for which j belong to the, say, 10 cities nearest to i. Here X(i,j) is an binary variable indicating whether or not edge (i,j) is in the tour. I created a subset of the cities to find the nearest neighbors of city i, but how can I implement it in the model? Do I need to add an extra constraint or? Added you'll find the code of my AIMMS project. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I have a constraint (shown at the photo below) wherein two sets need to be subtracted. I tried introducing another set Kw with a definition of k-Ks but it says subtraction of element valued expressions require the set range to be equal, but the ranges domain set "Subblock" and set "Candidate_Subblocks" differ. Identifier: Subblock Index: k Identifier: Candidate_Subblock Index: Ks Identifier: Subblock_Difference Subset of: Subblock, Candidate_Subblocks Index: Kw Definition: k-Ks above is the current code I have. Do you have any Idea on how I can code my constraint?

Hi! I encountered this problem as I try to recall my data from an excel file. The error says: ExcelRetrieveParameter(FINAL DATA.xlsx, N(E), B16:DQ16, , 0) failed: Actual cardinality (0) of domain #1 is smaller than specified cardinality (120). what should I do?

Hi! I would like to ask what this error means and how I can solve this: ExcelRetrieveParameter(FINAL DATA.xlsx, nC(v,T,w), C3:ALN22, , 0) failed: The dimension of parameter "nC(v,T,w)" is 3. It must be equal to or smaller than 2. I hope anyone can help me with this. Thank you!

I'm a beginner and I know nothing about programming so Im just basing everything from the user manual. I have a parameter with a "nC' as identifier and index domain: v,t,w. The problem is when I try to save it there's an error saying "The symbol ";" is not expected." How do I fix this?
