Hey everybody,I have a small question. Is it possible to define a parameter in relation to a Variable.I want to use this parameter in a Constraint.For example If the optimization variable is 5 - the parameter has to take the value 1.8.If the variabel is 2, the parameter has to have the value 1.3.I guess most likely it is possible to use a if- or switch-Function, but I am not sure…Can I load a table with these parameters in Aimms, so that he can give the parameter the right value, or are their any other ways to do this?Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi, I’ve been trying to run some Monte Carlo simulations, but apparently if the number of runs is more than 500, the Histogram cannot be made. AIMMS returns some arithmetic error that I don’t understand. How can we increase the number of data that Histogram can make?Thanks,Zulfan

Hi, I was trying to play around with Monte Carlo simulation in AIMMS. I can save the results from MP.Objective for every run. But, how can I save the solution for every run? I tried to use something like below for every run:Variable_Result(run, param1, param2) := Variable(param1,param2);It’s in the procedure “RunMonteCarlo” in the attached file. But, it doesn’t work. Hello! I want to present production lines in my gantt chart. Hello,  I want to save the results of various variables into an Excel Workbook. Hello everyone,in contrast to other programming languages, the source code of an AIMMS model usually is in a single file. Our code is hosted at a GitLab instance. Our team notices, that GitLab struggles with the large .ams-file, especially in merge requests. Sometimes the diff is too large to be shown, posting comments (as a reviewer as part of a code review) fails, or loading already posted comments fails. The size of our .ams-file is usually between 1 MB and 5 MB.Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Does anyone know a good alternative to conduct code reviews, which does not involve hosting the code on a different platform?I’m aware that we could use libraries to divide the code in smaller chunks, however, I feel like this is not as easy as in other programming languages and not the way it’s “supposed to be” in AIMMS.Best regardsBenedikt

Hey Guys,I have a small problem by modeling my MILP.I created a Matrix do define some Binary Variables. Now I want to create a constraint, which contains a multiplication between the Matrix of the Variables an a Matrix with some parameters. The result should be a scalar value comparable to the sumproduct-function in Excel. I want to do a multiplication between the matrices an the result should be a scalar?Hopefully there is a simple function in Aimms to solve my problem.I am thankful for every help!Best regardsSimon

Hello, I want to solve an optimization problem with a minimization of costs. I would like to create a loop that would help me solving the same model but changing only one parameter of my objective function at each iteration.  The logic is the following :  While (Parameter <= Bound ):       Solve Objective_Function(Parameter);       Parameter = Parameter + 1; where “Parameter” is the parameter I want to change at each iteration of the loop. where “Bound” is simply a bound to stop my while-loop. where Objective_function is simply the objective function of my problem and depends on the parameter that should change at each iteration.  Could you help me?  Thank you. 

Hello, everyone！Now I have a problem about how to set ranges for specific values of a variable. I have a variable “Cmatrix(t,x,conv) ” and “t,x,conv” are some sets.  I need that Cmatrix(t,x,conv) ∈ [-1,1] only when conv ≠ 'Heat_pump' . And Cmatrix(t,x,conv) >1 only when conv = 'Heat_pump'. How do I write this in the red box? When I set a constraint to bound the “Cmatrix(t,x,conv) ”, there will be errors as “The solver CONOPT 4.1 cannot handle the ranged constraint Cmatrix_except_HP(1,Elec,CHP_engine) in mathematical program "Cost_minimization"; please define the middle term as a variable and add bounds.” Can some kind person save me? Hello, I am working with the AIMMS PRO Cloud Platform and, in one of our systems, the user’s AIMMS project must exchange data with their other solutions through SQLite. We have a current solution in WinUI for this integration but we were looking into adapting the user interface to a cloud-hosted WebUI approach. The challenge we are facing right now is the integration with the DB files. One of those SQLite files reaches the size of 900Mb and the upload widget seems to simply load an animation and show an error. The tool works with smaller files.Would anyone know a way to bypass this size limit while uploading files? Regards, Jean Tremeschin

I tried to draw two lines in a graph for two different parameters, one of them has missing/null values and for some reason AIMMS then draws a line to zero (like in the picture below). How can I fix this? 

Hi AIMMS,Is it possible to add a tooltip to an multiselect widget? For example, below I want to see the description behind the status IDs when hoovering.Adding a tooltip annotation (both to the set as to the binary parameter) does not do the trick for me.  

Hi all,Every time we update our app, I get e-mails from users that they cannot enter the app and they send me a picture like the one below. We have tried to prevent this from happening by using the ‘latest’ tag option. All links in our information channels link to our app ending with the ‘/tag/latest’ such that they always end up at the right version of the app. But still I get a lot of these e-mails.Mostly this is because, once people have entered the app, they bookmark it (or store the url) and use this bookmark later on. The problem is that once they bookmark it, the url has changed to the current version name and therefore the link doesn’t consist of this latest tag anymore. And thereby causing the problem of the picture below after a new update of the app. I always reply back that they should use the link with the latest tag in there, but as we have a lot of users, this keeps happening. Since I have no particular background in e.g., operations research, some of the notations are unfamiliar to me. Consider the following constraint to eliminate subtours in the setup sequence between products (indexed with i and j) in a specific time period t.𝑉𝑖𝑡 + 𝑁 ∙ 𝑇𝑖𝑗𝑡 − (𝑁 − 1) − 𝑁 ∙ 𝛼𝑖𝑡 ≤ 𝑉𝑗𝑡       ∀𝑖,𝑡,𝑗\{𝑖}I do not understand how to implement the last part (𝑗\{𝑖}) in the index domain.  I really appreciate your help!

Dear All, I want to generate an integer parameter based on the combination of a number of component as shown as:   K1 K2 K3 C1 1 1 1 C2 1 1 0 C3 1 0 1 C4 1 0 0 C5 0 1 1 C6 0 1 0 C7 0 0 1 C8 0 0 0   where K1 … Kn is the number of component and C1 .. Cn is generated combination based on component number. The value of 1 means that the component is available and the value of 0 is otherwise. Is it possible to do this in AIMMS? Thank you very much.
