Hi.I am working to develop a tool that reads some input data from an access database, solves an optimization problem, and then exports results to an output access database. The data import process worked fine when I was accessing the user interface (UI) in page manager. Then, I created an .aimmspack file for deploying the tool for end-user use. Now, when I run the tool from pack file (end-user UI), I get this error during input data reading (image attached). Could someone please help with this error? Could this error be due to me missing to include something during .aimmspack file creation? I have not included the input access database file while creating the pack file. Referring to the image attached, ‘RPS’ is a group in input access database file. Thanks for your help.

Hello! We used to read csv files using a tool called “FFRead” provided by AIMMS. The tool allow us to merge multiple tables of csv data in the same file — below is the content of such a file:I,Table1,City,PopulationD,Table1,Paris,45D,Table1,Lyon,47I,Table2,Country,PopulationD,Table2,UK,76D,Table2,France,89 As “FFRead” is not actively maintained, we are switching to “DataLink” and “CsvProvider”. Does these new tools provide the possibility to read multi-table csv data? Or we must create a new csv file per table?Thank you;Amritbir Gill

Hello all,I am trying to create a subset of a main set for a constraint. See the attached figure of the constraint*. The index k should be a subset of its set. The main set consists for example of three classes {1,2,3}, then its subset should consist be{1,2}, so the main (ordered) set minus the last element, as it is used in the constraint by (k+1) on the right-hand side. Can anybody help me out how to formulate this?* I am aware on the non-linearity

We have 2 aimms licenses, we would like to place them on the same server, is it possible to use one license for each project? Is it possible to manage ram memory used by the program being run by each license?

I have a parameter over weeks with historic and forecast info. I want the historical week to be a dotted line and from the current week onwards a solid line. I use an annotation ‘dash’ and created a string parameter that have dash for the historic weeks. I added this as annotation the parameter, but if I use this all the weeks are dotted. (When I remove the annotation the whole is solid, as it should be). So is it possible to change the line over the axis?

I would like to access via SQL queries the CDM database while using AIMMS Cloud.  Is it possible? How can I do it? 

Since I am now missing the possibility of the outer index area, looking for other approaches to get similar functionality. From @Gertjan I already understood that you could create a couple of widgets and use widget actions to switch between them. This would be a possibility to precreate a couple of the possible layouts. However, if you have a 5 dim identifier, this becomes quite a bit already...I was wondering, is it maybe possible to change the pivot information from within AIMMS code? Than I could create a widget action that shows popup where you can re-arrange the pivot information (and also create the element parameter/sub index selections for the outer-index areas). I have not seen that many references to the widgets in the webui library, but maybe there is some way that this is possible?

Hi all, Quite new to this WebUI thing in AIMMS, not so new to AIMMS itself (have done some things with AIMMS before….. ). (Edit: after posting the question, I see the forum classifies me as an AIMMS newcomer ….  ) I am starting to understand the whole concept with rows/columns in the layout, but not sure how to solve the following problem:I have set the maximum number of columns on the page to 11 I have created two selection boxes (each 2 columns) and two labels to describe the selection box (also each 2 columns) I then added a large table (10 columns) Finally, I added another label of 2 columns, defined after the tableBecause there are still 3 columns free after the combination of 4 widgets (2x selection and 2x label), AIMMS will place the final label not below the table, but still on the first row, behind the other widgets as you can see in the image below: Is it possible to work with ‘spacer’ widgets to ensure a certain logical placement of the widget? How can I ensure in the webui

I have a resolution type of issue in the WebUI. I have a linechart with 168 elements on the x-axis (all hours of the week), on a linechart of 12 colums. The data is visible in the chart, but the axis labels won't be displayed. If I reduce the number of x-elements to 150, the labels are visible again.I have tried modifying the element text of my domain set to a string parameter which only has a value every nth element, but that does not solve the issue.Is there a way in which I can show at least some labels on my x-axis when the widget size is insufficient to display them all?Thanks!

HiI am getting the following error while executing my code in AIMMS.“spreadsheet::RetrieveTable(BCLOAD.xlsx, Load_Base(h,y,a), B3:CM8786, A3:A8786, B1:CM2, Load, 1) unable to get a handle to the workbook: Could not open Excel.”I believe it is happening after some automatic updates on my Microsoft office. Previously it was working fine.I tried to reinstall my office, change my excel file name, or even copied the project folder to my PC from the google drive. None of them resolved the issue.It would be grate if you can help me with this issue.

Hi,as the title indicates I’d like to delete all elements from a set prior to each execution. Otherwhise elements from the previous execution are messing up my results. Basically I have a set that will only contain elements under a certain condition, but if it doesn’t it still keeps the elements from the previous execution right now. I tried to fix this by calling empty MySet in the MainExecution, MainInitialization or  PostMainInitialization procedures. This just gives me an error saying “The defined domain set “MySet” cannot be emptied”. I don’t quite understand what’s causing the issue here since the set should already be defined, especially when PostMainInitialization gets run after the initialization completed. Can anyone help me out with this?Thank you!  

All,I have just begun supporting an AIMMS Pro implementation for my customers, and a separate cybersecurity team found that the traffic from the AIMMS Pro web server is unencrypted:Unencrypted Network Communication: AIMMS Pro Launch Page: When accessing the web frontend used to launch the application, traffic is transmitted using an unencrypted network protocol.   Unencrypted Network Communication: Websocket: The application establishes a websocket to communicate with its server using an unencrypted network protocol.Looking through the support/architecture documentation it appears that AIMMS Pro uses it’s own web services to host the page, so I’m trying to see what effort is involved in changing these settings, and what the implication is on the client side as well.

Hi,I think it would be helpful to provide a little bit of background regarding my problem first. I’m currently working on a project where a given set of volunteers should be assigned to a given set of people in need. So basically a simple transport problem, where the demand of all people in need is 1 and the supply of all volunteers is 1. The model in AIMMS always expects a balanced problem. So in case of a surplus on either side, dummy persons will balance the problem. The data for a set containing all persons gets read from a file like this. The first half are the people in need and the second half are volunteers. The last X amount of people in need would be dummies in case of a surplus on the volunteer side. The last X amount of volunteers would  be dummies in case of a surplus on the other side. On WinUI the Network Object enables a developer to modify the color of an Arc based on Arc Origin etc.  Is this feasible on the WebUI as well on Aimms, and specifically on aimms 4.70 

Hi, In my model I want to minimize the (maximum_t of a function) - (minimum_t of that function) and I have solved this issue by setting: k >= function for all tp <= function for all tand adding (k-p) to the objective of my model. When I do this for one variable, it works, but: when I do this twice (for different variables and hence adding two variables to the objective) it does not work. This while these variables are not connected. Can anybody maybe help me with this? Thank you in advance!

Hi all, I am new to AIMMS and I was wondering if someone could help me with my model.   I would like to maximize profit, fulfill as much demand as possible + keeping a safety stock. Besides reorder quantity is restricted by a maximum order quantity (see Sets, Parameters, Variables and Constraints attached).   I linearized min(Demand, E).  E = demand fulfilled  However, when I introduce the maximum order quantity constraints the model becomes infeasible.   Besides, the listing file results in the following messages: CPLEX 12.10 constructed the following irreducible infeasibility set (IIS). Hi there,I am trying to add stochasticity to a deterministic MIP model and I am receiving the following message:The empty row em.Stochastic([M,L,L,L],(B),(B)) .. 0 <= -39688691.0796 is infeasible, as tolerance the option "Bound_Tolerance" is used with value 1e-08.This constraint is:index= (i,j) - at the error message (B) is i and (B) is j;definition sum((k,t), Flow(k,i ,j ,t)) <= sum((e,t),EmissionProfile(e,t))EmissionProfile is the parameter with the scneario tree and Flow is the stochastic variable. Hello, everyone.I have been working to develop a WinUI for an AIMMS project. The UI development is almost over and I am trying to create an executable file (or anything equivalent in AIMMS) for the project so that any user can only access the user interface (without seeing the source code) and run the project. Could anyone please guide me to any resources that explains how to create such executable files?  Thanks.

Hi. I have a parameter with index domain (scenario, year). I want to have a plot of parameter (scenario, year) vs year which looks something like in the image attached. In the image, for example, the number of scenarios is two. However, in my project, the number of scenarios changes with user input data.  Could anyone please guide me to any resource (example project) in which such type of plots are generated or could give any suggestions how do I proceed to create such plots? Hello guys,   currently im doing a Project at my University. I have to do a Simulation Pretty simular to the tutorial for begginers.  But i have some more constraits which i have to imply but have no clue how to.code theese. In General: I have to get my products to the different customers. but i just have one “car” with a set storage. the case is, that the car definetly Needs to drive sometimes back to the warehouse, but i want to optimize the Situation.  for example: i can fit product a for customer a in the car. and the half of product b for customer b. so i want to know whether it is more worth driving back and then Picking up the whole product for customer b. or is it more worth to immediately drive to customer b and in the 2nd route i allready can pick up e.g. product c for customer c.  In Addition to this: i also want to imply, that there is a amount of time needed to put the products in and out of the Vehicle.  My native language is not english, but i hope you could understa
