Hi! I have a constraint (shown at the photo below) wherein two sets need to be subtracted. I tried introducing another set Kw with a definition of k-Ks but it says subtraction of element valued expressions require the set range to be equal, but the ranges domain set "Subblock" and set "Candidate_Subblocks" differ. Identifier: Subblock Index: k Identifier: Candidate_Subblock Index: Ks Identifier: Subblock_Difference Subset of: Subblock, Candidate_Subblocks Index: Kw Definition: k-Ks above is the current code I have. I'm a beginner and I know nothing about programming so Im just basing everything from the user manual. I have a parameter with a "nC' as identifier and index domain: v,t,w. The problem is when I try to save it there's an error saying "The symbol ";" is not expected." How do I fix this?

Hi, the "objective function" of my program is read as a variable in AIMMS. All the parameters in the objective function already have a data read from excel. My problem is, AIMMS keeps on saying "the scope of index i has not been specified" when I try to specify the index, the program won't run because it will say that the objective function should be a free scalar variable. Hi, How can I empty all sets except 1? I only want to empty self declared sets. I tried it with a for loop. However I have some trouble comparing the name of the set with a string. Kind regards, Wiet

Hello, I have created two histograms using "Histogramcreate" where the "HistogramSetDomain" are the same but the frequencies observed (using "HistogramGetFrequencies") are different. I have also drew the plots of the histograms separately. I am wondering if it is possible to show the two frequency histograms on the same plot? I appreciate any help in advance

Hello 1- I will try different constraints for my model. For example, I want to disable all constraints and show the results. I tried to created parameters as a below; parameter: IsDisable , range=integer Constraint: MyConstraint , index: (i,j) | not IsDisable But in index section in MyConstraint: " t | t>=2 " I could not add the " | not IsDisable " 2- Also How can I write the solution to excel? Hi, I'm making a model of flexible flow shop for academic project and I have a problem with declaring one set(or sets in fact). The set I'm talking about is a set of parallel machins which are bounded to specific stages. It looks more or less like this: [list] [*]t - stage index, t = 1, 2, 3, . . . , k [*]i - machine index, i = 1, 2, 3, . . . , mt (t is upper index) [/list]Do I have to specify every set of machines seperatly for each stage or is there some convinient way of doing it?

Hi all, For our program, we have a 3*36 parameter input that we want to vary using a normal distribution for 1000 times in order to save the objective values to, eventually, create confidence intervals. We have the 1000 variation matrices, but we do not know manage to load these into AIMMS and let the program save the 1000 objective values. On the other hand, it is impossible to copy-paste these manually. Could you perhaps give us some advise on how to implement such a for-loop in AIMMS? Kind regards, Marten

Hi, For one of my projects, I would like to use the functionality multi-objective optimization with tolerance via the procedure GMP::Column::SetAsMultiObjective. Unfortunately, the results are not as I expected. Therefore I made a very small example to test this procedure. In the example, we have one variable (x1) which is nonnegative, one constraint (c1: x1 smaller or equal than 10) and two objectives: (obj1: x1 and obj: -x1). Moreover, the direction of the model (ex1) is maximize. To solve the example, I used the following code: myGMP := GMP::Instance::Generate( ex1 ); GMP::Column::SetAsMultiObjective( myGMP, obj1, 2, 1, 2, 0); GMP::Column::SetAsMultiObjective( myGMP, obj2, 1, 1, 0, 0); GMP::Instance::Solve( myGMP ); Based on the first objective (with the highest priority), I would expect the solution to be x1 = 10. I often have thoughts/suggestions/questions on the documentation that have only to do with the understanding of the language (not AIMMS or anything mathematical). Do we have a sub-forum that users can ask or discuss things about that? In particular, right now I'm once again running into the situation where the documentation shows the text representation, but yet AIMMS doesn't allow the ability to directly code in text. I also understand that using a value of 1 shows all values (and 0 shows no values). But my graph is still plotting all the zero (default) values. For example, “Stranger” in this linechart has no values, but he still gets graphed. In the WebUI Gantt chart, under Settings > Add Gantt Layer, there is space for the Start and the Duration. However, both of these only accept parameters. I have a project with a full WinUI that needs to be converted, and it uses an element parameter as the Start. How can I use the element parameter as the start? Is there a way to do this directly? Or do I need to do a fancy workaround? Thanks!

I have a Gantt chart in WinUI that I'm trying to replicate in WebUI. The bars are colored based on the data (and a small bit of logic). I also have text on the bars. The only way I can find to make sure the text shows up is change the css. But the text doesn't respond to anything but the [i]stroke[/i] property. I would like to know how to get the sensitivity analysis of a constraint shadow price. For example, say we have the following constraint: x+y ≤ c and its shadow price "SP". How do I get the relationship between c and SP ? In other words, the sensitivity analysis of SP according to c. I would appreciate if you can show me how to achieve this in AIMMS.
