Hi!I was wondering if there are any recommendations regarding use of .json file within version control systems? Are any merging strategies better than the others?Almost every time when I am merging two branches, and each of these branches includes new elements (pages or widgets) in the WebUI I am getting merge conflicts. And manual solution of these conflicts could be somewhat of a surgical operation...Last week I had quite an extreme example of that. Both developers were adding new download and upload widgets, each on his/her respective page. When the file was merged (before conflict resolution), the lines that were identical in both files (e.g. declaring widget type, action type, opening and closing brackets) appear only once in the merged version, while lines with widget names and contents were appearing after each other. We have managed to solve it by comparing both version pre-merge and replicating some of the lines. But this is of course quite error-prone and time-consuming.

Hi dear community, I tried to follow the tutorial https://how-to.aimms.com/Articles/85/85-using-axll-library.html#importing-data-from-excel-files to read in some data from excel sheet. I’ve installed AIMMSXLLibrary and put the data file directly in the library folder under my project (not sure it is required or not) as shown in the screenshot. Then I created the procedure called “ReadInDataFromExcel” in my project and used the code as shown in screenshot. But when I tried to run the procedure to test whether it can point to the .xlsx file or not, the AIMMS through out this error : The identifier "WorkBookName" has not been declared. I’m not sure what’s going on since I almost copy the code from the website. Could anyone please help? Thanks! 

I have two legend widgets in my app. And one is showing a search bar and one is not. How do I turn these on or off?I’m not certain how one ended up off, but I need to turn the other off too.Thanks!~Bon

Hi. I have a few questions to ask: [list=1] [*]In the progress window, what exactly is means by (Gap = 0.04%)? is it 0.04% of optimality gap, or 4% of optimality gap, or something else? [*]and if it is 4% of optimality gap, does it means that 96% of it is the best solution, meanwhile 4% of it is the less best solution? [/list]

 During my usage of AIMMS, I came up with some problems about 'duplicate_column_row_warnings'. I want to know how to solve the following questions:(1)Warning: The rows "MaxPump(PSHU-2Pump,01,Unit-1)" and "MinPump(PSHU-2Pump,01,Unit-1)" are equal in the generated mathematical program "LeastTotalcost".  For information regarding potential causes and consequences, see the help associated with the option "Warning_duplicate_row".I wonder what does this mean?(2)where can I find the help associated with the option "Warning_duplicate_row"? 

Dear Community, I am working on a functionality for which I would like to use R language. I would like to use the library called “TSA”. I installed it in R. When I try to run the script, AIMMS throws the following error: “R_tryEval: Error in library(TSA): there is no package called ‘TSA’”. I have tested some other libraries (e.g. Rcpp), and there was no error. I found a chapter in the R-Link documentation called “R-packages on the AIMMS cloud”. I didn’t find TSA there, but I did Rcpp. I couldn’t understand based on the text what is special regarding these libraries.  Am I thinking well that these are the only libraries I can use in R scripts? Thanks,Zsolti

In converting WinUI to WebUI, I have to convert the popups. Seemingly no problem, right?It is a bit annoying, but fairly easy to do. Hello All! I’ve created some pages to help analizing different cases. To support this I made charts too. When I load in the cases, the colors are always similar(light purpule and purple, light green and green). My first idea was that I use “KPI” annotation for the parmeters in the active case, then I realized that we are working with runtime parameters which has other indexes. Do you have any idea?  While I was trying to color charts, I set up a default color for the widget, it works well:.aimms-widget[data-widget\.uri="GlobalKPICompariosn_barchart1"] .bar{ fill: rgb(192, 90, 90);} Then I wanted to use the same with annotation: No reaction. .aimms-widget[data-widget\.uri="GlobalKPICompariosn_barchart1"] .bar .annotation-KPI{ fill: rgb(84, 183, 203);} I tried some css from the ‘How to’ too with my annotation.  Thanks for your help!  Bogi

Hi all, I am constructing an app that a lot of users are using, with a lot of different datasets. These datasets are loaded from and saved to a database. Is there a possibility to show a name on every page in the app specific for that dataset, without having to add a widget to every page? I provided a screenshot below of a page in the app. I was thinking about maybe the word "Menu" that could be editable? Or could I place something before "Masterdata" that shows which dataset someone is using. As people only go to the homepage to change datasets, this would seem logical to me (this page would then display "Dataset 1> Masterdata", or something like that). Hi there, I have a 3-dimension binary variable as my parameter, which indicating what combination of items are in a paticular batch of order as below (the example shows I have item 1,2,0 in my Bathch-1).  My question is that, if I have 1000 batches, is it possible to directly input this data from excel? I know the answer is probably yes with the Spreadsheet:: functions, but I’m a little bit confused how should I arrange my data in excel? Should I include the data of one batch in one spreadsheet and read the entire excel file use Spreadsheet::RetrieveTable? If this is the way, what should I do when I have a variable of 4 dimensions? And another (dummy) question-if I need to use the code to retrive data from excel, which section should I put this code in? Hi dear community, I’m trying to add this subtour elimination constraint into my AIMMS project.  sum( (k,l) | k<>l and k in SubsetofLocations and l in SubsetofLocations, y(b,k,l)) <= |SubsetofLocations| - 1where y(b,k,l) = 1 indicating the picker will go from location k to location l while picking items in batch b. My questions are:How can I generate all of the subsets that are required to be used here? I checked the TSP example on AIMMS website and it seems like these subsets are generated automatically? If it’s not, how should I set it up? How can I get the number of locations in a subset(the |SubsetofLocations|) when it is generated everytime?  I want to add this as a lazy constraint with the callback function. But I’ve been quite lost about how to set it up. I know how to add it in the MainExecution (I just followed the TSP example) but I’m not quite sure about what else will I need. Should I just ignore the entire “Declaration Network” part(since I don’t need to show the

Hello, Is there a way to view multiple case files on WebUI? I know that this is possible using multiple case objects in the developer version. I wonder if some way of accessing the list of all casefiles (that are not necessarily loaded) and using CaseFileMerge may help with this… This would be very helpful for our users to view results from multiple cases in the same visualizations, and would also make it easier on our side in terms of scenario management. Hi,I am working on 2 multi-objective problem with two objective functions (one is to maximize the lecturers’ preference and the other is to maximize students’ preference). I have many constraints and only one decision variable (for the first problem) while many decision variables for the second problem.The tutorial that AIMMS provided is for CPLEX 12.9. Can it still be used for CPLEX 12.8? If not, is there any tutorial that can be used for CPLEX 12.8?Thank you in advance.

Hi, In the Options Tree, I have been changing the MIP Relative Optimality Tolerance to 0.5%, 1.0%, 5.0% and 10.0% to analyse the performance of the solution, gap and solving time. I wish to change the gap to 0.5%, 1.0%, 5.0% and 10.0% to analyse whether the solving time can be reduce by changing the gap. However, the CPLEX always stop at either 0.04%, 0.12% or 0.00% of gap. Is there any way to stop the CPLEX at 10% of gap?

Hi all! Just a quick question that is there any way to export a model in AIMMS to an LP file? I know you can do this in CPLEX, and since AIMMS is employing CPLEX, I’m thinking maybe it is also possible to do it in AIMMS. If this is true, could anyone also tell me how to do that? Thanks!

Hey, I have this Transportation-Distribution problem of paints and it says that in the 10th day the stock of paint of each color and each type has to be 1000L. I created a constraint: FinalStockConstraint Index domain: (d,c,t) 'd - day; c - color; t - type' Definition: sum[ds,DistributionSiteStock(ds,d,c,t)] + sum [p,ProductionSiteStock(p,d,c,t)] = 1000 Which means the sum of every paint (color and type) of all distribution sites + sum of every paint (color and type) of all productions sites has to 1000. But I just want this to apply to the 10th day. How should I do it only with linear maths? You can store both in productions sites and distribution sites. ds - distribution sites; p - production sites

Hi, I have a string parameter as axis label for the X-axis and Y-axis of a bubblechart. When I hover over the axis, I see this same string parameter as tooltip. Is there a way to have a tooltip different from the actual string parameter value? I tried XXX_Tooltips, but that doesn't seem to work (unsure if this works for string parameters at all). thanks,

Hello all! I'm working on different logs, and now I can get info about, how my solvings are in the server session. But how can I alarm the user, that he needs to wait, because a solving session is running on the server? (I mean there is two planner for the software, and both want to send an MP to the solver. The faster start it, the other one needs to wait, until the previous solving will be finished. I want to send a log message to the waiting user, that the solving won't started because of this) Thanks for the answers!

Dear all, I want to create a cycle for-do and I want to have the values of the results for each considered point. How can I write this in aimms? For now I wrote this for e| (epsilon_e(e))>epsilonl and (epsilon_e(e)) CO2_ec:=epsilon_e(e); solve Min_Total_Costs; Total_Costs_e(e):=Total_Costs; endfor; with e the index of a set epsilon_e, while Total_Costs_e(e) a variable.
