WebUI

Dear Community, we want to be able to edit multiple cells of a WebUI table, like using shift or ctrl to celect the cells and later edit them at once. We would like to be able to use copy paste as well. We coundn't find any resources describing a way of enabling these functions. If you know how to do it, or have some helpful resources please share it with us.

Hello, For a university project we use AIMMS to solve a model, we also would like to use the WEB UI, however after building the WEB UI it does not save. Why does it not save, is it because we have an academic license? In the AIMMS model the module 'AIMMSWEBUI [read only]' has the property no save, however since it is read only, we are not able to change it. Is there a solution for this problem?Kind regards!

Hello everyone!Is it possible to remove the default stroke color (black) when user clicks or selects any node/location which has already defined stroke color? This is so that the customized stoke colors (defined in model) for the nodes remain functional even when any node is selected. I see customized stroke colors appear back when clicked twice on any node.In my case, by clicking on any location, the stroke colors are turned off and default stroke color black turns on. By clicking on same location again, we can see all stroke colors for potential locations(orange) and optimal location(red). Hi,Many of our projects include export functionality to Excel; which is a good way to allow the end-user to continue to work on the data and/or use it as a report out. Proper formatting of the excel file is in these cases high on the priority list of the users. One can think of: setting fonts, right number of decimals, putting data in a pivot (correctly organized). Basically, saving the user the manual work to redo these formatting actions after each export to excel.In the win-ui we applied the following trick to get the excel file formatted as desired:Create an excel macro to perform all the required actions Include an excel file with the macro in the aimms project When exporting, use a copy of that excel file, put the data in and run the macro via the aimms function Spreadsheet::RunMacroSince we are developing web-ui apps, which are cloud deployed, this trick is not available any more. The model runs in the cloud without the ability to running an excel macro.  Dear Community,   As mentioned in earlier product update, with 4.85.1 version release the new Combination Chart Widget type now comes with significant feature enhancements. Though in its initial version, the Combination Chart Widget type supported only data representation with Columns. The recent enhancements include:Support for multiple chart types, namely Column, Line, Area, Area Spline. Spline and Scatter. Support for Secondary Y-Axis Support to control X-Axis intervals\StepSize Support to hide an index from UI. Better coloring options by using the color index and the transparency index. Curious to know if you got a chance to try out this new widget type.   Are you happy to use this feature in its current state? Hello! I want to present production lines in my gantt chart. Production is separated to different levels: Is it possible the show theese levels in the same line bellow each other? Or I need to create another line for each? Thanks for the help!

Optimization models have a lot of information that needs the user's attention to either review, compare or change. Showing such information on pages usually compels the user to scroll endlessly or scroll up and down when comparing data or switch to and fro between pages. One of the reasons for introducing the Grid Layout was to bring consistency and familiarity within the application. Dear Community,As explained in the previous article New WebUI Widget Framework!, we are working on POCs and we think its time to show a sneak peek into the progress.Here is a simplified representation of how the new framework would work.First, as we progressed with the specification we realized that JSON’s can be quite lengthy and scary to look at. So we decided to support the specification in XML as well, which is more concise and readable.  Second, we are working on integrating our existing features so that you do not have to change anything in your model. I just created some new colors in the User Colors tool, but once I try to use it on my List Widget icon, it does not recognize.  How can I relate those two things?

I tried to draw two lines in a graph for two different parameters, one of them has missing/null values and for some reason AIMMS then draws a line to zero (like in the picture below). How can I fix this? 

Hi AIMMS,Is it possible to add a tooltip to an multiselect widget? For example, below I want to see the description behind the status IDs when hoovering.Adding a tooltip annotation (both to the set as to the binary parameter) does not do the trick for me.  

Hello, I am using WebUI and I would like to create create a Side Panel that contains a generic List.I order to do so, I have added a Text Widget to the Side Panel. Has anyone solved how WebUI shows default inf values? It is crashing my system over, and over again. Page Name@contents: Identifier 'Parameter' contains special value 'inf' which is not supported (and displayed as 'Infinity')

Dear Community, As explained in the previous article New WebUI Widget Framework - Part 2, we  are working on a new and more robust WebUI Widget framework. While we are at it, we are also  building new Column Chart and Line Chart widgets. In my projects I like to use prefixes such as ‘s_’ for sets and 'p_’ for parameters.However, when designing a webUI page, I would like to mask these names with something more human-friendly. How do I do this?My minimal working example project contains two items:Set s_DummyData { Text: "SetDescription"; Index: i_dummy; Definition: { DATA {1 .. 100}; }}Parameter p_SampleParam { IndexDomain: i_dummy; Text: "ParamDescription"; Definition: { val(i_dummy) * 100; }}What I hoped the Text attribute would do, is replace ‘s_DummyData’ with ‘SetDescription’. I am wondering if it is possible to disable end-user filtering in one specific table in the UI?The use case as follows: the user needs to be able to do mass changes on a specific parameter displayed in the a table. The idea is that by filtering through a few multiselect widgets the user can define which rows are displayed in the table, and then via buttons or widget actions apply the mass changes.To avoid the confusion for the user, I want to restict the user from applying end-user filtering, since this will not work appropriately with the mass change procedures.

Hello! In the WebUI of AIMMS I created a bar chart containing based on 23 data points. However I would like to order the different bars in an ascending order. Is this possible in the WebUI?  Next to that I have another question: in the same WebUI I have another bar chart which shows the workload of 60 different nurses. Right now each of the nurses gets a specific color, however there are three different types of nurses. So in the bar chart it would be nice if each nurse of a certain type has the same color. So, for example, all nurses from type 1 get a green color in the bar chart. Is this possible in AIMMS? Thanks in advance!  Jelle

I was wondering if the following workflow is possible in AIMMS WebUI.User runs a procedure - this could include a web::request_invoke_async() or Execute(), for example User can continue other work Status bar procedure polls for an update and displays statusCurrently, I could setup a manual polling procedure that the user can click and run to check the status. I imagine one can setup a separate app that gets an ID and details of user request and polls for the status and runs an AIMMS procedure using AIMMS PRO API to update the status bar. (Is it even possible to run a procedure in an active AIMMS session/job through the PRO API?) It is a little too convoluted to setup simple use cases.
