Dear AIMMS expert,Is it possible to display several variable data with a single parameter?Thank you very much.

I have multiple math programs, each related to a different energy supply sector.. I want to keep their development and version control independent. Is making them into libraries a reasonable way to combine these otherwise independent math programs?

Good morning all. I just brought out an old program I have written over a year ago to run it and it gave an error:‘The CONOPT 4.1 library has not been loaded because: Solver initialization failure.’Please, what can I do to remove the error. Thank you.

Hi communityWe use standard Excel functionality to download a file of the following format:Then we try to reupload this file after having made the following adjustment (we manually adjusted the columns A and B and copied the values in A2 and B2 from other Excel): However, this reupload resuts in 0 changes being made to the table in the WebUI. What could be the reason the reupload fails to read in the 1000?

Hi, With the center of gravity tool, I want to find optimal recycling/ production centres. I was wondering how to use the tool for finding the optimal production locations. Now, it seems like I can only determine optimal warehouse centre locations. Moreover, I was wondering whether it be possible to leave out warehouse locations at all. So, just include the suppliers, production / recycling centres and customers. Also, I want to add a specific constraint on the minimum that has to be produced in total. Thus, not a minimum constraint for a specific recycling/production facility but a constraint on what all facilities together should produce (outflow of all facilities together equals a number) Thank you!

I am running AIMMS 24.6.3.3 with an academic licence on a macbook air M2 through parallels.I would like to include AXLL in my project, but when opening the library manager and trying to access to the library repository, I get an error message that doesn’t provide any information on how to solve the problem: Unable to get the list of available libraries from repository. How can I possibly solve? Or alternatively, is there a way to use AXLL on my setup without accessing the repository?

I want to to solve several instances of a model with modified input data. This varied input data usually only affects the coefficients; but, it might affect the number of variables and constraints as well. Ideally, the varied instance of the model should use a warm start from the last solution to reduce run-times. I am a bit familiar with GMP functions. However, I am not sure how to effectively implement such procedure. I was wondering if AIMMS has something similar to Gather-Update-Solve-Scatter (GUSS) syntax in GAMS. I would appreciate your comments :)

Use Case - I have a group of customers from - state/provinceI want model to pick only - 1 DC out of N DC ( i.e - all customers in that particular State/province -should get material from 1 DC (same DC))N.B- I have - different drop size for each customers & also cost is different - basis DC & Customers.Question - How can we model this case?I am exploring the single sourcing - from customer product table & location product table

Hi,I was a production planner at a rotational molding factory, and now I try to model this environment in Aimms by using the example of the machine shop scheduling problem. For my model I only need one extra ‘dependent’ variable → a variable that tracks starts and ends of products on a machine. The reason is that starts/ends of a product on a machine involves set-up cost, and I want this to be a penalty in the TotalCostOfStartingOrders. So I created the binary variable DoYouStartOrRemoveAProductFromAPosition(m,a,s,p,pn,i_dc), in where m is the machine (2 machines), a is the arm (each machine has 3 arms), s is the side of de arm (each arm has 2 sides: up or down), p the position (each side has 3 positions), pn is the product name (the model contains 12 products) and i_dc is the daily calender in workdays (66 workdays). This binary variable is defined by three contraints:DoYouStartOrRemoveAProductFromAPosition(m,a,s,p,pn,i_dc)<=(DoYouHaveProductionOfAProductInAPeriod(m,a,s,p,pn,i_dc) + D

Hello, I am a beginner at using AIMMS and have my sets, parameters and variables all sorted out. I am, however, stuck with one constraint. I have a variable x(p) (so x(p) needed) and parameter d(p) (max capacity (p)) and want to have a constraint x(p) <= d(p), but without havin to use a sum. How do I so this? Thank you.

Hi, I’ve been doing my project on course scheduling. However, I’ve encountered problem listed below:My obtained result did not follow my parameter and constraint.Figure below shows the parameter for Group_Classes, for instances, MDA3033_G1_1, MDA3033_G1_2, MDA3033_G1_B1, MDA3033_G1_B2, and MDA3033_G1_B3 are belong to students group under program Analytic Data (Year 2). So i ticked all the boxes that belong to the students group respectively. Then, my on the second figure, it shows my constraint for Conflict_Student. But, when I executed AIMMS, it gave me results like Figure 3. As u can see, in Figure 3, MDA3033_G1 and MDA3044_G1 shared the same students group. So there’s still conflicts between those two subjects. MDA3033_G1_1 & MDA3033_G1_2 are assigned to t=45,46, meanwhile MDA3044_G1_B1 , MDA3044_G1_B2 & MDA3044_G1_B3 are assigned at t=46,47,48. The conflicts occurred at t=46. Can anyone explain to me which part did i do wrong?Figure 1Figure 2Figure 3

Hi, I created a gantt chart that to display p_taskStartTimePerEmployee(i_task,i_employee)p_taskDurationPerEmployee(i_task,i_employee) How can I show the task number or name on top of each task bar like the in the below photo (this photo taken from aimms help not my model)? For example I'm interested in showing i_task value on top of each task bar.thank you inadvance

I have run into the following problem, when I was trying to solve my MINLP model. The error massage is the following“OCTERACT error: [json.exception.parse_error.101] parse error at line 1, column 1: syntax error while parsing value - unexpected end of input; expected '[', '{', or a literalWarning: Model status 13: Error no solution, Solver status 9: Error: Setup failure.Warning at line 1 in user-defined function section "MainExecution":Model status 13: Error no solution, Solver status 9: Error: Setup failure.OCTERACT error: [json.exception.parse_error.101] parse error at line 1, column 1: syntax error while parsing value - unexpected end of input; expected '[', '{', or a literalWarning: Model status 13: Error no solution, Solver status 9: Error: Setup failure.Warning at line 1 in user-defined function section "MainExecution":Model status 13: Error no solution, Solver status 9: Error: Setup failure.”The strange thing is that with another solver that my teacher got “BARON” it runs just f

Hello everyone!I’m reaching out to know how can I use multiselect in showing nodes and arcs in my network map. It is part of my project to make the UI interactive, however, I’m having difficulty doing so. I have tried testing if the same multiselect-table interaction can also work here, but it doesn’t. Any tips or examples you can provide?Thank you!

When displaying a gantt chart, the colors of the jobs come from the standard 16 color palette as far as I can see.For example, when I have a gantt chart defined on pGanttChartJobStart(iJob, iSku, iLine) and pGanttChartJobDuration(iJob, iSku,iLine) and in the gantt chart the iLine is corresponding to the resources and the combination (iSku, iJob) are corresponding to the jobs.If I understand it correctly, AIMMS will take the coloring from the first component in the Jobs section, which is exactly what I want (i.e. every job for a given sku always has the same color, namely the ‘sku’ color) However, sometimes, this results in two jobs that are consecutive on one line, but have colors that are quit close to eachother.I know I can easily create my own annotations and define my own colors for that with CSS, but then I will have lost the connection to the standard aimms palette. Do you know if it is possible to define custom annotations and in the CSS for those annotations indicate you want t

Hi community,I’ve noticed that the WebUI filtering applied to table widgets persists through AIMMS PRO sessions (even if they are closed). Is this filtering user dependent and is there a way to reset this default filtering of a deployed AIMMS PRO app? Thanks!Dani

Dear colleagues, I would like to ask for your assistance in order to declare specific parts in the definition field. I have three doubts:1) How to implement a sum in definition in AIMMS in which one of the variables does not start from the first item?Example: i=14j=16(Cprod.Pi,j+Cest.Ei,j)+j=26(Caum.∆Pi,j++Cred.∆Pi,j-) 2) How to implement an expression in definition in AIMMS that considers operations with two subsequent items (in different times)?Example:  Ei,j=Pi,j+Ei,j-1-PDi,j 3) How to implement a value assignment for a specific indexed item in definition in AIMMS?Example: P1,6=1500 Thanks for you assistance.

Hi all,I’ve seen here and there some things mentioned on the following items below, but I lost track on the latest developments. Can someone share a status update on them?Have the capability to specify file decimals per identifier (instead of per widget) ? Support for unit (parameters) in WebUI ? Library support for WebUI , i.e. that some WebUI parts / pages become shareable across different AIMMS apps Visible/hidden option per identifier in widget settingsDepending on this I might post an improvement idea for the backlog. Thanks,Joost

Hi,I am working on a University Examination Timetabling Problem (UETP) using Binary Integer Programming, and I am running the model in AIMMS. The model is taking an unexpectedly long time to solve.Previously, I set the optimality relative tolerance to 0.01, and while the results were not 100% optimal, I was able to obtain optimal solutions in a reasonable amount of time. However, when I set the optimality relative tolerance to 0, the model has been running for an extended period. After 5 to 9 days, the gap was 0.38%, and after 10 to 16 days, the gap only reduced to 0.37%, this model still running.I ran this model on two different machines to compare performance, and both showed similar results:Server: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Silver 4214 CPU @ 2.20 GHz (2 processors), 16 GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro Desktop PC: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700 @ 2.10 GHz, 64 GB RAM, Windows 11 ProMy questions are:What could be causing such a long execution time with this model? Are the specifications of these mac

t = time indexM = vehicle indexI = supply nodeJ = intermodal nodeI have a variable with (t,M,I,J) index which determines the number of units delivered to a specific node. However, I want to determine the time of delivery of each set of units as a separate variable. Thus, it’s like extracting t from the variables (t,M,I,J). How do I approach this?Thaank you!

Hi.I am currently using AIMMS software for my research and have a query regarding the usage of the license I received from AIMMS. Could you please clarify how many machines a single AIMMS license can be used on? Is there a limit to the number of machines where the license can be activated?Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello! I was writting to see if anyone would be able to help me; you see, when I start up my AIMMS project file I get an error (which can be seen on the shared screenshot) about missing some kind of element in my project library. This started happening after moving my AIMMS project files from one computer to another, so I suspect that some data might not have transfered properly. In any case, I was hoping someone would be able to help me, as this is kind of urgent to be honest. Thank you very much in advance! Pablo

Can AIMMS achieve the function that copy one Section in Project A to Project B?  For example, there are two projects that need to use the energy storage model. I've built an energy storage module in Project A. How can I copy this module to Project B to avoid repetitive modeling？

I have an excel file with many spreadsheets. Almost all of them have tabular data information. But one of them has information like the image below. I read the documentation I found about dex, but I couldn't find out if it is possible to import using this format and how to do it.

Hi community!Having installed AIMMS 24.4.3.3 (x64) on a new laptop running Windows 11, I am unable to select (latest version of) Chrome as the default browser for WebUI, even though Chrome is set as my default browser in Windows 11. I am a bit puzzled as to how to solve this issue. Any help is much appreciated here!In the pic below I haven’t been able to make a good screenshot but only Edge option is enabled, Chrome is disabled. Thanks!
