Hi,I have a problem with seeing detailed results in my AIMMS program. For one of our AIMMS apps, we read in a file from the ADLS on startup. This happens in a procedure that is part of PostMainInitialization. We call dex::dls::ListFiles to determine which file to read, but the API call fails.Presumably, this problem occurs because parameter StorageAccount is only initialized in procedure Initialize in the PostLibraryInitialization of DEX. This post lib is only run after our PostMainInitialization is run. Is there a way to automatically run a procedure on start-up of the application, that is run after the PostLibraryInitialization of DEX? Or is it possible for you to change DEX such that StorageAccount is initialized in the LibraryInitialization instead of the PostLibraryInitialization?  

Hi all!  For an on-premise AIMMS PRO server, does anyone know if there's a way to get a report of the last time each user logged in or the last time each user opened a WebUI session? I know it's possible to search and parse logs (at least over the available history), but wondering if there's an easier way.  The AIMMS Control Panel can create a session list by user (Session List tab), but it only appears to show solver sessions (and some of our users don't click Solve). For context, trying to find a robust way to identify AIMMS PRO user accounts that are no longer used

I use AXLL::ReadSet to read the set element from Excel:And in excel the rank is  However, the data in the set looks like this (the data is in a wrong ranking):Sometimes, it ranks like this:Even though I define the elements directly:Still, the data looks like this:I have ever encountered this problem before, and I was told to define the set as a subset of Integers and use Order by. However, I hope the data in the set is treated as element rather than value. So for a set Time := {1,3,5}, Time(1+1) := 3.What wrong with this?

Hi, In the map widget there is the option to set Dynamic Arc Width, could you explain a bit more on how it works? E.g. like is it a min-max scaler? Background for asking is that in small examples/models it works reasonably well, but in ‘bigger’ examples it flattens out a lot and the arc sizes are in our case not really visually differentiating. If we understand a bit more behind the scaling, we could maybe make some fine-tuning to get the visual representation we would like to see.

What is the difference on the program status of “Found Solution” with Optimal solution. Does “found solution” status shows the feasible result not the optimal one? Please explain.

Hi guys, I’m a student from the university of HEC in Belgium and I need your help for one project that I’m working on for one of my courses. In fact, I have received a database from Excel that I have exported on AIMMS (which has been done succesfully). Then I’ve realized my parameters, constraints, … in order to optimize the function that the teacher gave to us. But now, the teacher expects to us to export the AIMMS file to Excel to realize our analysis (so once all the values have been computed, we have to export these numbers to Excel in order to analyze these numbers) and I don’t understand how can I export the AIMMS file to the Excel. Can you please, try to help me? Thanks for the answers :)

We are in the process of transitioning from WinUI to WebUI. Under WinUI, our users have saved many cases to their laptops or a shared drive. I don’t know why the proserver wasn’t used, but it wasn’t. As we transition to WebUI, though, we’ll need to store cases on the proserver. The question is, how can we move our saved cases to the proserver so they can be accessed in WebUI? I tried copying them but the format is clearly different. It’s doesn’t seem i can just copy the .data file out to a specific folder on the server. How can we move these case files to the server? It doesn’t need to be an ongoing thing. I only need to upload them once.I appreciate any guidance.

Dear Team,I have a problem. I need some helps. I have several coils with weight. I have to load coils on wagons. There are two types of wagons. The capacity of two types of wagons are 64 and 67 respectively. I have to make rakes by joining wagons. There are three types of rakes. In one rake type, 1st type of wagon can be used. It takes 4 wagons to make a rake. In rake type 2, 2nd type of wagon can be used and 5 wagons are required to make a rake. If we club two different types of wagons, then also we can make rake. It takes 3 wagons to make a rake. My objective is to make full rakes and utilize all the coils with minimum cost.  I have designed a variable v_(i_Rake_Type,i_Wagon_Type,i_Wagon,i_Coil). The constraint is sum[(i_Wagon_Type,i_Wagon), v_WagonType(i_Rake_Type,'Wagon_1',i_Wagon)] = 4*sum[i_Wagon_Type, v_RakeTypeUsed(i_Rake_Type,'Wagon_1')];I am finding it sometimes problematic. I am trying to define a variable with following index domain (i, v in Vehicles_i(i),j, j1 in Nodes_J(j))I am getting a message ', )' is expected.What is the error in this definition?When I am defining as (i, v in Vehicles_i(i),j, j1)  or (i, v, j , j1 in Nodes_J(j)). It does not give any error.

Dear Team,I am facing one problem while writing a constraint. Let's say, I have three boxes with several items. Say box 1 has 4 items, box 2 has 6 items and box 3 has 9 items. I am processing the items day wise considering time as a constraint. I want that, if I am selecting a particular box, I will process all the items of that box 1st then will move to the next box. What I am getting that Day1-box1- 2 itemsDay1-box2-3 itemsDay1-box3-2 itemsDay2-box1-2 items.I do not want it. I want, choose a box on day 1, process all the 4 items based on the available time. I have written a constraint to handle it, which is like sum[d, v(d, boxnumber)] >= p_items(boxnumber) - v_Penalty(boxnumber)It means, I am trying to get the item number in a box while minimizing the penalty in the objective function.  Kindly help if I am doing anything wrong.

Hi,trying to see if I can get AIMMS (running locally on my computer) to talk to one of our internal authenticated API endpoints, but running into a problem with the callback url.In the documentation, I see that the callback URL aimms will use locally is http://localhost/oauth2. However, when I run it from my own computer, I see it is actually using http://localhost:8080/oauth2.Both of these unfortunately are not on the list of approved callback urls….Since I am not the owner of the application that I trying to call, it is quite difficult for me to request a new URL to be added to the list of approved URLs. There is a local developer URL already approved and would like to make AIMMS use that particular one. The URL that is approved is http://localhost:3000/login/azure/authorized. Is there any way I can make AIMMS use this particular callback URL instead of the current hardcoded (which also is different from the documentation).

Hey everyone,I'm working on a vehicle routing problem (VRP) project where the routing will involve more than one company, and customers may have orders from more than one company. So, the idea would be for the companies to collaborate with each other, and the customer would receive just one delivery.Given the larger set of available companies, I need to use in my constraints subsets that contain only the companies used for each customer. For example, if I have three companies, A, B, and C, how can I create a set with only companies A and B for customer I, another set with companies A and C for customer J, another set with only company B for customer K, and so on?My idea was to create a binary parameter, 1 when the customer requests that company and 0 otherwise. But can I write this parameter in the set definition? I thought about using if and else, but I'm having trouble because the parameter depends on two variables (customer and company) and the company set only on one (company).I'm

I have a stochastic optimization model wherein two-stage SP is not applicable. As such, I want to utilize sample average approximation for my solution to consider at least 100 scenarios with equal probabilities then arriving at one single solution. Is this kind of methodology default in AIMMS? Or are there things that I should do first before doing so?

Hi,I am trying to write a constraint with index domain on certain indicesvBinary1('1') + vBinary1('3') + vBinary1('5') = 3 * vBinary2;‘h’ is the index. Here ‘h’ is taking value {‘1’, ‘3’, ‘5’}. Do not consider it as ODD. I tried with ```index domain: | h in {"1", "3", "5"} sum[h, vBinary1(h)] = 3 * vBinary2;```It is giving errors by saying The scope of index "h" has not been specified. Help to understand it. Do not define another set for these indices only. That I know how to do it. 

Hi, is it possible to define a complex variable in AIMMS?

Hi all!I built a feasible model in SG Navigator with 21 production plants and a detailed BOM per item and location. However, I must add constraints related to the total production per item and location during the period of analysis. I tried three ways but any of them worked: Adding Minimum capacity and Force Open = 1 in the Production Sheet + Adding Minimum capacity per Location and Item in the Production Routing Sheet. Result = The model was infeasible  Adding Maximum capacity in the Production Sheet + Adding Minimum capacity per Location and Item in the Production Routing Sheet. Result = The model does not respect all of the constraints  Adding Minimum capacity and Maximum capacity (both of them with the same quantities) in the Production Sheet +  Production Routing Sheet. Result = The model was infeasible How should I model those constraints? Thanks!  

May I know how to solve the duplicate column error since I have put the Xconstraint(i,l,g,g0) so that duplicate column does not occur? Whoever is the sender Q(i,l,g,g0) of the product cannot be the same one who is receiving the product Q(i,l,g0,g) to satisfy the local demand. May I know if there is any other way to solve this problem instead of using the constraint such as X(i,l,g,g0) + X(i,l,g0,g) <= 1 since the system does not apply this constraint at all?

I currently have a study concerning bi-objective optimization. To give context, the two objectives are to minimize total cost and to minimize the average travel distance. As of the moment, I am only a beginner in using AIMMS and I only know how to use it for single-objective problems. I just want to know if it is possible in AIMMS to do multi-objective optimization? If yes, how can I do it?

I’m currently doing an optimization model through AIMMS and I want to consider multiple scenarios for my study. Is it possible that I have considered, for example, 100 scenarios and my decision variables will only arrive at one solution that considers all scenarios?In my case, I only have one varying parameter (waste generation) in each scenario. I just want to clarify if it is possible in AIMMS and I want to know how it happens that it will arrive only at one solution. It would be a great help if you can answer my query. Thank you!
